The "Private Governments" That Subjugate U.S. Workers
Corporate dictatorships -- which strip employees of fundamental
constitutional rights, including free speech, and which increasingly rely
on temp or contract employees who receive no benefits and have no job security -- rule the lives of perhaps 80 percent of
working Americans. These corporations, with little or no oversight, surveil
and monitor their work-forces. They
conduct random drug testing, impose punishing quotas and targets, routinely engage in wage theft, injure
workers and then refuse to make compensation, and ignore reports of sexual
harassment, assault and rape. They use managerial harassment,
psychological manipulation -- including the pseudo-science of positive
psychology -- and intimidation to ensure obedience.
They fire workers for expressing
leftist political opinions on social media or at public events during their
off-hours. They terminate those who file complaints or publicly voice criticism
about working conditions. They thwart
attempts to organize unions, callously dismiss older workers and impose
"non-compete" contract clauses, meaning that if workers leave they
are unable to use their skills and human capital to work for other employers in
the same industry. Nearly half of all technical professions now require
workers to sign non-compete clauses, and
this practice has spread to low-wage jobs, including those in hair salons and
restaurants.
The
lower the wages the more abusive the conditions. Workers in the food
and hotel industries, agriculture, construction, domestic service, call
centers, the garment industry, warehouses, retail sales, lawn service, prisons,
and health and elder care suffer the most.
Walmart, for example, which employs
nearly 1 percent of the U.S. labor force (1.4 million workers), prohibits
casual conversation, which it describes as "time theft." The food industry giant Tyson prevents its
workers from taking toilet breaks, causing many to urinate on themselves; as a
result, some workers must wear diapers.
The
older, itinerant workers that Amazon
often employs are subjected to grueling 12-hour shifts in which the
company electronically monitors every action to make sure hourly quotas are
met. Some Amazon workers walk for
miles on concrete floors each shift and repeatedly get down on their hands and
knees to perform their jobs. They frequently suffer crippling injuries.
The company makes injured
employees, whom it fires, sign releases saying the injuries are not work-related.
Two-thirds of workers in low-wage
industries are victims of wage theft, losing an amount estimated to be as high
as $50 billion a year. From 4 million to 14 million American workers, under
threat of wage cuts, plant shutdowns or dismissal, have been pressured by their employers to support pro-corporate
political candidates and causes.
The corporations that in effect
rule the lives of American workers constitute what University of Michigan
philosophy professor Elizabeth Anderson
refers to as "private governments." These "workplace
governments," she writes, are "dictatorships,
in which bosses govern in ways that are largely unaccountable to those who are
governed. They don't merely
govern workers: they dominate them." These
corporations have the legal authority, she writes, "to regulate workers'
off-hour lives as well -- their political activities, speech, choice of sexual
partner, use of recreational drugs, alcohol, smoking, and exercise. Because
most employers exercise this off-hours authority irregularly, and without
warning, most workers are unaware of how sweeping it is…"
Once workers sign contracts they essentially cede their rights as
citizens to the corporations, except the few rights guaranteed by law, for the
duration of the contracts. "Employers' authority over workers,"
Anderson writes, "outside of collective bargaining and a few other
contexts, such as university professors' tenure, is sweeping, arbitrary, and
unaccountable -- not subject to notice, process, or appeal.
The state has established the
constitution of the government of the workplace; it is a form of private
government." These corporations,
by law, can "impose a far more minute, exacting, and sweeping regulation
of employees than democratic states do in any domain outside of prisons and the
military."
These myriad corporate
dictatorships, or private governments, ensure American workers are docile and
compliant as the superstructure of the corporate state cements into place a
species of corporate totalitarianism. The ruling ideology of neoliberalism and
libertarianism, used to justify the corporate domination and social inequality
that afflict us, SELLS ITSELF AS THE PROTECTOR OF FREEDOM AND LIBERTY.
It does this by subterfuge. It claims workers have the freedom to
enter into employment contracts and terminate them, while ignoring the
near-total suspension of rights during the period of employment. It
pretends that workers and corporations function as independent and autonomous
sellers and buyers, with workers selling their labor freely and corporate
owners buying this labor…
Neoliberalism posits that the
choice is between a free market and state control, whereas, as Anderson writes,
"most adults live their working lives under a third thing entirely:
private government." Neoliberalism argues that the essence of
freedom is free enterprise, while never addressing workers' surrender of
basic freedoms…

The corporate oligarchs,

few of Fitts' quotes from her mind-repairing article:
"So what is the problem? If it's not a problem for $21 trillion to go
missing from DOD and HUD, and, [if] it's possible [for the government] to come
up with more than $20[plus] trillion to give or loan to the banks [in a
bailout] when there is no legal obligation to do so, and, when we [the
government] can transfer trillions of the most valuable technology in the world
to private corporations at zero cost to them and [at] great cost to the
taxpayers, [then] I assure you that fixing whatever pension fund problem there
is, is not difficult. However, the
political will must exist and want to. That is the problem."
"If we can print money to
give $20 trillion [plus] to the banks, and, [if we can] let $21 trillion go missing from the
federal government, [then] why is it a problem to print $5 trillion to fund the
pension funds?"
Failing pension funds are on the
hook for $5 trillion (see also this short article from 2010), and the federal
government has no answer? Well, that is
a supreme con job, because, as Fitts points out, the government is playing far
larger money games without a shred of concern.
And this is just the beginning of
the rabbit hole Fitts has been traveling for the past several decades. Here is
her basic position: Prosperity for the
many, not the few, is eminently possible and doable. Starting from that premise, and deploying
her relentless skills as an analyst, she has discovered the strategies the
government and mega-corporations have been deploying to undermine and torpedo
an economically healthy society.
Finding and illuminating these
strategies was not her basic intent. Her basic intent was lifting all boats for
the citizenry. In pursuing that course, she came upon the secret
obstructions. And because her desire to
help people did not waver in the slightest, she didn't turn away. She exposed
the obstructions. She continues to do so.
She writes: "Family wealth
has the distinct advantage of returning control of investment decisions to
individuals. However, this is hardly
what the US establishment wants."
"Our planetary governance and
financial system currently operates significantly outside of the law. Whether the cost of war, organized crime,
corruption, environmental damage, suppression of technology or secrecy, this
lawlessness and the lawlessness it encourages in the general population
represents a heavy and expensive drag on all aspects of our society, our
economy and our landscape."
Fitts cites an example of corporate
choices in this lunatic money scam --
General Electric: "By some estimates, its pension fund is underfunded to
the tune of $31 billion. However, during the time its pension fund
became so underfunded, GE SPENT $45 BILLION TO BUY BACK ITS PUBLICLY TRADED
COMMON STOCK. The needed funds were there at one point; it's just that the
leadership of the company decided to funnel it into stockholders' hands rather than to the pensions of the
employees who helped build the company…"
Look around you. Money is everywhere. Titanic piles of it
are flowing. The question is, to whom is it flowing, and how, and why?
Within the current system, there are designated winners and losers. This has to
do with criminal controllers posing as benefactors. They steer the money ship.
They dump shipments of money at certain favored ports and keep shipments from
reaching many other ports…
The devil is in the details, and
Fitts has uncovered an astonishing number of them. She emerged, after a long battle, with her

Pentagon Fails First Audit, Neocons Demand More Spending!
The Pentagon has finally completed
its first ever audit and the results are as many of us expected. After spending nearly a billion dollars to
find out what has happened to trillions in unaccounted-for spending, the
long look through the books has concluded that only ten percent of all Pentagon
agencies pass muster. I am surprised any of them did.
Even the Pentagon is not surprised
by the failure of the audit. “We failed the audit. But we never expected to
pass it,” said Deputy Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan. Can we imagine any large US company subject to the prying eyes of the
IRS being so unfazed by the discovery that its books have been so mis-handled?
As with all government programs,

Outgoing chairman of the House
Armed Services Committee, Rep. Mac
Thornberry, warned against concluding that this mis-handling trillions of
dollars should make us hesitant to continue sending trillions more to the
Pentagon. The failed audit “should not be used as an excuse for arbitrary
cuts that reverse the progress we have begun on rebuilding our strength and
readiness,” he said.
The neocons concur. Writing in the
Free Beacon, editor Matthew Continetti (who happens to be Bill Kristol’s
son-in-law) warns that now is “the wrong time to cut defense.” But I agree with the young neoconservative
Continetti. I would never support cutting a penny of defense. However the Pentagon’s lost trillions have
nothing to do with defense. THAT IS MONEY PROPPING UP THE HIGH LIFESTYLES OF
THOSE CONNECTED TO THE MILITARY-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX.
Continetti and the neocons love to
throw out bogeymen like China and Russia as excuses for more military spending,
but in fact they are hardly objective observers. Look at how much the military
contractors spend funding the neocon publications and neocon think tanks
telling us that we need more military spending! All this money is stolen from the productive economy and diverted to
enrich neocon cheerleaders at our expense.
Of course the real problem with the
Pentagon and military spending in general is not waste, fraud, and abuse. It is
not ten thousand dollar toilet seats or coffee mugs. The problem with military
spending is the philosophy that drives it. If the US strategy is to maintain a
global military empire, there will never be enough spending. Because there is
never enough to control every corner of the globe. But if we are to return to a well-defended republic, military spending
could easily be reduced by 75 percent while keeping us completely safe. The

Who knew? The

incompetence, but a sign of needing more money.

They’re
not your protectors if they’re eating you.
Bruno walks into a neighborhood
shop and threatens the shopkeeper with unspecified “bad things” if the
shopkeeper doesn’t fork over $200 a week. The shopkeeper pays. If Bruno runs a
“legitimate” protection racket, bad things don’t happen. You can skip a class, indeed an entire
four-year program in political theory, if you realize that governments are everywhere and always protection rackets.
Fork over money and personal freedom and the state will protect you

a deity or deities, demanding not just money and obedience but worship, too.
What if the shopkeeper pays Bruno,
but his shop is still beset with burglaries? What if he discovers that Bruno is

rackets. The protector has dropped all
pretense of protection and has become a predator.
When the Soviet Union conducted its
first successful atomic bomb test on August 29, 1949, it undercut the
protection-racket rationale for governments. No one realized it at the time, but how can you run a protection racket
if you can’t protect those you’re purportedly protecting from annihilation? Of course neither governments’ rhetoric
changed from the historical protection-racket justification. They said that
escalating budgets for defense and intelligence, foreign intervention, and
skullduggery were necessary to protect their people from the other side.
THAT WAS A LIE. There was and
is no protection from the other side’s weapons, other than the admittedly
incomplete protection offered by good faith negotiation and military
forbearance. Trillions have been spent
for armaments, intervention, and skullduggery far beyond what is required for
an assured destructive capability.
Propaganda
stokes fear that the spending perhaps assuages. However, that fear has
a rational basis, it can never be vanquished. Instead, it provides the
political impetus and cover for governments to do what they do best: predation. If
such predation wasn’t immediately obvious to the general populace, it was to
the predators. Commentators have noted that government attracts sociopaths
and psychopaths. Is that just hyperbole? Government in the age of predatory
theft is a gun trained on the subjugated. Why wouldn’t it attract predatory
people? A desire to be on the business end of the gun qualifies that person for
a diagnosis as a sociopath, at the least.
When predators run out of prey and
all that’s left are the carcasses, they move on and the saprophytes―organisms that live on dead or decaying matter―move in.
We’re much closer to that stage than even astute critics recognize. It’s been obscured by the predatory
mechanisms of debt and central banking, designed to enrich elite predators
while maintaining a mirage of prosperity.
The global economy is in extremis, kept alive by a drip feed of
ever-expanding debt whose source feed is government’s unbacked fiat debt and

Trump’s precarious predicament
Given the information that he has
been privy to as POTUS, the culprits guilty of so much treason and sedition
know that Trump must be silenced. But first they must remove him from
office… There are different ways that
this can be done. However, each
one requires that the American people first be gaslighted like there’s no
tomorrow. And that’s just
what they’re doing via the nonsensical talking heads and incessant fake news.
Regardless of how Deep State tries
to depose Trump, the perps are always confronted with the likelihood of massive
blowback from the Trump movement. Should they remove the President in any
fashion, all hell will break loose.
Such a bad move could literally trigger a second Civil War...
First and foremost, the MSM is being used every day to

Their hope is to eliminate him as a 2020 candidate. The NWO globalists really think they can
sufficiently ruin Trump so that he will no longer be a threat to any of their
One World Government plans. If they
don’t prevent him from running again, they have a Plan B, C and D ready to pull

Deep State has every conceivable

they decide assassination is too risky, they will either injure or sicken the

legislation failed to pass the Senate, because Democrats blocked it. But not
really. The Democrats are not opposed to the bill. Indeed, the senators of both parties are too well paid in campaign
contributions by the Israel Lobby to vote against anything that Israel wants. Moreover,
they know that if they do, the money and the media support in their next
election will flow to their opponent.
The reason the Democrats blocked
the passage of the bill is that they are
making a point that no legislation will pass until President Trump gives in on
the issue of The Wall and signs the necessary money bill to reopen the
government.
Every 18 months the US government
hands over to Israel enough money to build Trump’s wall. Israel had no hesitation in using Americans’ money to build its wall,
which keeps Palestinians out of Palestine. It is OK with the US Congress for Americans to finance Israel’s
construction of a wall that keeps a people out of their own country,
but it is not OK for Trump to use American money to keep illegal immigrants out
of the United States.
How much more plain can it be? The
US Congress represents Israel, not Americans. The US Congress will even destroy the US Constitution for Israel.
And the United States is called a democracy?
They claim to be super-patriots,
but they would destroy every liberty guaranteed by the Constitution.
Fat chance that with the makeup of the current congress that
the American people would have anyone who represents them. AIPAC funds the campaigns of our “elected”

The support among Democrats for
bills that would punish supporters of the Boycott Israel movement is now

first two Muslim women in Congress – are both supporters of that Israel boycott…
That the newly elected United States Congress would choose to

Now Pelosi and the Democrats as well as the “Never Trump”
Republicans are in an all-out hissy fit over Trump’s government shutdown to
stop the invasion on our southern border.
They are demanding Trump capitulate on the “wall/fence” and maintain the
status quo rather than confront the massive problems facing America. They cry crocodile tears for the laid off
workers in front of camera, but behind the scenes they conspire to remove President

What’s the critical point
here? As follows:
GOVERNMENT owes its existence to the people. Its primary purpose is to
protect and safeguard the citizenry of the nation. It also exists to ensure
the welfare of the populace, as well as to sustain an order in which all may
flourish and pursue their goals. This social contract is very much a two-way
street in which the governed promise to carry out their civic duties while the
government fulfills the myriad responsibilities of statehood.
This public trust has existed from
time immemorial between the governed and the government. However,
when such a binding covenant is profoundly violated, as it was on September 11,
2001, the contractual relationship is effectively dissolved. And so it was!
What are some of the basic
obligations and functions, which all governments are held to and expected to
perform, within this contract? They

The Speaker of the House — Rep. Nancy Pelosi — has no power to

Constitution. But why? Why would the treasonous and dementia-ridden,
seditious and senile Pelosi even make such an unprecedented and uncouth move?

stupid stunt. Trump actually threw
down the gauntlet at the funeral of Poppy Bush.

(1) President Trump was going to
showcase the treasonous conduct of the Democrat-controlled House by highlighting their criminal opposition to

for the whole world to see, he was going to use this year’s SOTU address to
take concrete action against the Democrat traitors DURING PRIME TIME.
Trump was going to put on the
greatest dog and pony show in SOTU history which would have made the Democrats look so stupid they could not take the
justifiable humiliation. The House
leadership got wind of this and went ballistic before the show. Nothing like this has ever happened
before—ANYWHERE!
(2) President Trump also planned on
pointing out that a sitting Supreme Court justice was not in attendance. Not only that, but the serious infirmity of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is such that she
cannot even show up for work at the SCOTUS.
The Democrats are determined not to let Ginsburg resign. They are also resolved to keep her on the
SCOTUS in spite of her inability to properly discharge her duties.
The gravity of this predicament for
the Democrats is all too clear, especially in light of the Kavanaugh
confirmation fiasco. The critical point
is that the Democrat leadership does not want any attention drawn to their extremely

SCOTUS appointment.
(3) This Pelosi disinvite is also a way for the Democrats to further disempower
the POTUS in an effort to advance the soft coup that they launched the day he
was elected. Not only is this purely
political maneuver an attempt to further gaslight Trump, the perps also hope to
negatively influence the American people.
They have literally done everything
in their power to remove Trump from power, which

to the U.S. Congress and to the American people, they plan to diminish his
stature in the eyes of the body politic.
This wholly misguided ploy is also somehow meant to artificially

for being the traitors to the American Republic that they truly are.
Conclusion
The Democrats are guilty of so much
treason and sedition that they feel compelled to distract from their serial
criminality anyway they can. As for
Trump, he knows in his bones that “It’s
either Trump or Deep State!”
This deteriorating state of affairs
in 2019 is so precarious that things will surely come to a head sooner than
later... The Democrat’s SOTU debacle will surely come back to haunt them like

A huge number of the members of congress, the military industrial
complex, the banking complex, the intelligence apparatus, the stink tanks, the
lobbyists and the media have dual citizenship and have no “loyalty to the
American people.” They have no loyalty
to America and no loyalty to our military members. They are America’s enemies, foreign and
domestic and they must go. They must be
tried for their crimes and be punished, barred from ever serving in government
again and the trillions stolen from the American people must be returned.

does America stand a chance for survival against all enemies foreign and
