Holy Week. For Catholics, Holy Week is a
time of humility, reflection and atonement for one’s sins.
Holy
Week is an interesting time for Vladimir Putin, the Pope and the CIA. It was collaboration between Putin and the
Pope that averted CIA air strikes in Syria but now the CIA has set their sights
on Ukraine.
The
CIA’s complicity in the overthrow of the elected President of Ukraine is well
documented. President Viktor Yanukovych was removed from
office in a CIA coup after Yanukovych rejected a trade agreement offered by the
European Union and the World Bank. According to Global Research:
The
Maiden protest movement was launched in Kiev in November 2013 when Ukrainian
President Yanukovych rejected a European Union economic plan that would have
imposed a harsh austerity regime on Ukraine as the price for admission into the
economic sphere dominated by German banks.
The
U.S. and E.U.-backed street protests, supported most fervently by
neoconservative elements inside and outside the Obama administration, began
when Yanukovych instead accepted a $15 billion loan from Russia and an economic
plan that did not require austerity measures but did include discounted prices
for Russian natural gas.
There
was no way the CIA was going to wait for elections in Ukraine that were
scheduled for May. There’s way too much

A
reshuffled Ukrainian Parliament installed following a coup last week has voted
to appoint Arseniy Yatsenyuk as the new prime minister of the country. Yats,
as Victoria Nuland, the Assistant Secretary of
State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the U.S. State Department, called
him, is a natural choice.
He is a millionaire former banker who served as
economy minister, foreign minister and parliamentary speaker before Yanukovych
took office in 2010. He is a member of Yulie Tymoshenko’s Fatherland Party.
Prior to the revolution cooked up by the State Department and executed by
ultra-nationalist street thugs, Tymoshenko was incarcerated for embezzlement
and other crimes against the people of Ukraine.
Now she will be part of the
installed government, same as she was after the last orchestrated coup, the
Orange Revolution.
Well,
overturn an elected government for rejecting the central bank offer, check. Install a central banker to run the country, check. Oh, wait Ukraine needs a new head of central bank.
Feb24 (Reuters) - Ukraine's parliament appointed Stepan Kubiv, a member of
parliament with experience in banking, as the new chairman of the central bank.
A total of 310 deputies in the 450 seat chamber backed
Kubiv after his predecessor, Ihor Sorkin, resigned following the overthrow of
Viktor Yanukovich as Ukraine's president.
The
CIA Gold Heist in Ukraine:
According
to a report in Global Research by Professor Michel Chossudovsky Ukraine’s gold
reserves were air lifted out of Ukraine destined for the New York Federal
Reserve on orders of the newly CIA installed government of Ukraine.
A
Russian Internet news site Iskra (“Spark”) based in Zaporozhye, eastern
Ukraine, reported on March 7, that “Ukraine’s gold reserves had been
hastily airlifted to the United States from Borispol Airport east of Kiev”.
This
alleged airlift and confiscation of Ukraine’s gold reserves by the New York
Federal Reserve has not been confirmed by the Western media.
At
2 a.m. this morning [March 7] an unmarked transport plane was on the runway at
Borispol Airport (right) [east of Kiev]. According to airport staff, before the
plane came to the airport, four trucks and two Volkswagen minibuses arrived,
all the truck license plates missing.
Later
a returned call from a senior official of the former Ministry of Revenue
reported that tonight, on the orders of one of the new leaders of
Ukraine, the United States had taken custody of all the gold reserves in
Ukraine.”
Yep,
the CIA removed the elected President of Ukraine, installed a central banker as
the unelected president and removed the country’s gold reserves which were
awarded to the New York Federal Reserve, THE CENTRAL bank.
The
unconfirmed source quoted by Metal.com, says that the operation to airlift Ukraine’s
gold had been ordered by the acting Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk with a view
to safe-keeping Ukraine’s gold reserves at the NY Fed, against a possible
Russian invasion which could lead to the confiscation of Ukraine’s gold
reserves.

a prominent online financial blog site published an incisive interview
with William Kaye, a Hong Kong based hedge fund manager at Pacific
Group Ltd. who had previously worked for Goldman Sachs in mergers and
acquisitions.
The
Spoils of War and Regime Change
Of
significance in this interview with William Kaye is the analogy between
Ukraine, Iraq and Libya. Lest we forget, both Iraq and Libya had their gold
reserves confiscated by the US. According to Kaye, the destination was the
New York Fed.
The
National Bank of Ukraine (Central Bank) estimated Ukraine’s gold reserves in
February to be worth 1.8 billion dollars. According to William Kaye: “That
would amount to a very nice down payment to the $5 billion that Assistant
Secretary of State Victoria Nuland boasted that the United States has already
spent in their efforts to destabilize Ukraine, and put in place their own

the appointment of the new head of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU)

would have been his first major decision to transport that gold out of Ukraine

Acting
Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk accused the Yanukovych government of having
stolen Ukraine’s gold reserves. This statement was made on February 27th,
less than week prior to the report on the alleged airlifting of Ukraine’s gold
to the New York, which is yet to be confirmed.
So
let’s see what Holy Week meant for Putin the Pope and the CIA.

Ukraine's
ousted president has accused the CIA of being behind the new Ukrainian
government's decision to deploy armed forces to quash an increasingly brazen
pro-Russian insurgency.
Speaking
late Sunday on Russian state television, Viktor Yanukovych claimed that CIA
director John Brennan had met with Ukraine's new leadership and "in fact
sanctioned the use of weapons and provoked bloodshed."
The
so called, “Judeo Christian” United States Government has kicked off the Holy
Week by sending CIA Director, John Brennan to Kiev, Ukraine. The Palm Sunday “visit” by America’s top spook
was to sanction the use of weapons and provoke bloodshed.
CIA:
Oleksandr
Turchynov, Ukraine's interim president, announced on state television that an
amnesty would be granted to anyone who laid down their arms by 6 am Monday
morning, but he warned: "We're not going to allow Russia to repeat the
Crimean scenario in Ukraine's east. Today's Palm Sunday celebrations were
marred by aggression and blood. The terrorist troops co-ordinated by the Russian
Federation seized a number of government buildings."
Turchynov
said the situation was especially dangerous in Slaviansk where "trained
criminals, dressed in camouflage and armed with Russian guns", were
operating. "The blood of Ukrainian heroes has been shed in a war which the
Russian Federation is waging against Ukraine," he said. "The
aggressor has not stopped and is continuing to sow disorder in the east of the
country."

said Monday that it had nearly doubled pensions paid to retirees on the
peninsula, raising them to the average levels paid in Russia.

salaries for public sector workers like teachers and doctors, according to a
statement posted on the Kremlin’s website.
CIA
KIEV,
Ukraine — Ukraine’s failure to enforce its own ultimatums and its appeal on
Monday to the United Nations to send peacekeepers laid bare a grim reality for
the shaky government in Kiev, where political leaders and security forces have
few reliable ways to confront Russian-backed separatists in the restive east.
A
deadline set by Ukraine’s acting president for the start of a “large-scale
antiterrorist operation” in the east passed without any clear police or
military intervention.
Meanwhile,
pro-Russian militants seized yet another government building in the Donetsk
region, bringing to at least nine the number of eastern towns now swept up in
an insurgency.
The
country’s acting president, Oleksandr V. Turchynov, asked the United Nations to
send peacekeepers. But the move was widely viewed as an act of desperation,
given that Russia holds a veto at the United Nations Security Council and is
unlikely to assent to such a request.

and about 200,000 Russians out of a total population of 510,000.
Following
Crimea’s annexation, it also wants to join the Russian Federation.
Trans-Dniester
faces economic isolation if Moldova signs an Association Agreement with the
European Union, as it soon may. (The rejection of this same type of agreement
by Ukraine’s former president, Viktor Yanukovych, sparked unrest in November
2013, which led to his ouster in late February.)
Ukraine’s
armed forces, demoralized and underequipped, are so short of funds that when
the government ordered them on high alert last month as Russian forces seized Crimea,
a Ukrainian billionaire had to buy the military fuel. The businessman, Ihor
Kolomoysky, now the governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region next to Donetsk, said
he put up around $5 million of his own money to pay for gasoline and batteries
so that Ukrainian military vehicles could leave their garages and helicopters
could get off the ground.
Ukraine’s
intelligence agency, the State Security Service, known as the SBU, is so
riddled with Russian informers that when John O. Brennan, the C.I.A. director,
visited Kiev over the weekend on a supposedly secret trip, Russian state news
media swiftly revealed his visit and declared it evidence that Washington was
calling the shots in Ukraine and pushing for a crackdown in the east.

In an interview with Italian journalist (and atheist) Eugenio Scalfari,
Pope Francis questioned the Catholic Church itself, claiming that the church
must be focused on the poor, not on itself or divisive issues like same-sex
marriage and abortion.

courtiers. The court is the leprosy of the papacy. The Church is or should go
back to being a community of God's people, and priests, pastors and bishops who
have the care of souls are at the service of the people of God.”

young people, help the old, be open to the future, spread love. Be poor among

Confusion
continues to reign in eastern Ukraine, where pro-Russia gunmen remain in
control of many government offices even as the Ukrainian military sends in
troops, tanks and armed aircraft in an attempt to dislodge them.
Accordingto NPR's Ari Shapiro, who is in eastern Ukraine, locals who are pushing to
separate from the central government and join the Russian Federation claim that
at least some Ukrainian troops are refusing to move against them.
In
the city of Slovyansk, Ari reported on Morning Edition, protesters say Ukrainian
military personnel carriers approached Wednesday with soldiers who were looking
"bedraggled, tired and dirty." Protesters say that after the soldiers
were given food and water and had a "nice conversation" with
residents, Russian flags were raised on the vehicles and they went
"rolling off to Slovyansk."
CIA
Secretary
of State John Kerry traveled to Ukraine on Tuesday and condemned Russia’s use
of “aggression and intimidation as a first resort” in its takeover of the
Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea.
He
declared: “It is not appropriate to invade a country and, at the end of a
barrel of a gun, dictate what you are trying to achieve.”
“In
the hearts of Ukrainians and eyes of the world, there is nothing strong about
what Russia is doing,” Kerry told reporters in Kiev.
Kerry
also accused the Russian government of spreading lies about the crisis,
including that ethnic Russians living in Ukraine are under threat and that the
streets of Kiev, the Ukrainian capital, are dangerous and rife with looting.

VaticanCity (CNN) -- The washing of feet was a radical act in Jesus' time. It is
no less radical in the modern era, with Pope Francis' decision to break with the
long-standing papal tradition of washing only priests' feet, to include women
and non-Christians in the symbolic ceremony.
The
controversy began on Holy Thursday last year when Pope Francis washed the feet of two women and two Muslims at
a juvenile detention center in Rome. Before this, modern Popes
had only ever washed the feet of 12 priests at the Vatican, during the Mass for
the Last Supper.
Vladimir

Pro-Russianforces in eastern Ukraine on Saturday prepared to celebrate Orthodox Easter at
barricades outside government offices seized in nearly a dozen cities, despite
an international agreement to disarm and free the premises.
Nearby,
retiree Ksenia Shuleyko, 65, was handing out pieces of home-made Easter raisin
cake, traditionally served for Orthodox Easter. Speaking from a red tent,
decorated with a red hammer-and-sickle Soviet Union flag, Shuleyko expressed
hope that Russia, which annexed Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula last month, would
also wield influence in the Donetsk region near the border with Russia, known
as the Donbass.
"We
believe in Russia. It helped Crimea, it will also help the Donbass,"
Shuleyko said. "God will help those who believe and we do believe."
Moments later, she performed a patriotic Soviet-era song together with other
demonstrators and could not contain tears.
CIA
Diplomatsfrom Russia, the United States, the European Union and Ukraine have agreed on a
series of steps aimed at de-escalating violence in strife-ridden Ukraine, U.S.
Secretary of State John Kerry says.
Speaking at a news conference on Thursday in Geneva, Kerry
said all of this "represents a good day's work." But Kerry added
"words on paper" will have little meaning if they are not followed by
actions on all sides to calm the situation in the former Soviet republic.
Kerry said the U.S. fully expects the Russians" to
demonstrate they are serious about lowering tensions…
The deal comes after Ukraine appeared to introduce stringent
checks for Russian citizens who want to cross the border into Ukraine.
Russia's flagship Aeroflot said Thursday that Ukrainian
officials told the airline that Russian men between 16 and 60 are now banned
from entering Ukraine except when they are travelling with family or to
funerals of relatives there.

Pope heard the Vatican's official preacher deliver a sermon denouncing greed
and the love of money.
The
procession is part of the Church's Easter triduum festival.
Pope
Francis urged the crowd to "remember all the abandoned people" and
spoke of the "monstrosity of man" when he lets evil guide him.
"Evil
won't have the last word, but love, mercy and pardon will" he added at the
end of the Way of the Cross.
The
sermon, by Father Raniero Cantalamessa, spoke of the injustice of human
trafficking and suffering caused by environmental damage.
"Money
is behind every evil in our society" the preacher declared.

Months after accepting asylum in Russia, fugitive U.S. intelligence leaker
Edward Snowden on Thursday asked Russian President Vladimir Putin about
Moscow's own surveillance practices.
"Does
Russia intercept, store or analyze in any way the communications of millions of
individuals?" Snowden asked in English via a video link during Putin's
annual question-and-answer program, which was broadcast on state television.
"And do you believe that simply increasing the effectiveness of
intelligence or law enforcement investigations can justify placing societies,
rather than their subjects, under surveillance?"
Putin
responded that Russia has a special service that bugs telephone conversations
and Internet communications to fight crimes, including terrorism, but only with
court permission and only "for specific citizens."
CIA
WASHINGTON
— The United States plans to carry out small ground-force exercises in Poland and Estonia in
an attempt to reassure NATO’s Eastern European members worried about Russia’s military operations in and near
Ukraine, Western officials said Friday...
The
exercise in Poland, which is expected to be announced next week, would involve a United
States Army company
and would last about two weeks, officials said. A company consists of about 150
soldiers.

Moscow: Russian
President Vladimir Putin, condemned by NATO for annexing Crimea, is now defying
the US in Syria by sending more and deadlier arms to help Bashar al-Assad score
a string of advances against insurgents, military experts say.
Dr
Assad's army, seeking to end a three-year civil war that has killed 150,000
people and displaced 9 million, started using longer-range Russian Smerch and
Uragan rockets for the first time in February, according to Jane's Defence
Weekly and Stratfor, a US geopolitical research company.
"Russia
is now doing everything to ensure that Assad wins convincingly," Alexei
Malashenko, a Middle East analyst at the Moscow Carnegie Center, said by phone.
"If Russia can show it's capable of carrying out its own foreign policy,
regardless of America's wishes, it will be a major achievement for Putin."
CIA
The
U.S. and Saudi Arabia have supplied Syrian rebel groups with a small number of
advanced American antitank missiles for the first time in a pilot program that could lead to larger flows of sophisticated
weaponry, people briefed on the effort said.
This shift is seen as a test of whether
the U.S. can find a trustworthy rebel partner able to keep sophisticated
weapons out of the hands of extremists, Saudi and Syrian opposition figures
said. The U.S. has long feared that if it
does supply advanced arms, the weapons will wind up with radical groups—some
tied to al Qaeda—which have set up bases in opposition-held territory.
The
White House would neither confirm nor deny it had provided the TOW
armor-piercing antitank systems, the first significant supply of sophisticated
U.S. weapons systems to rebels. But U.S. officials did say they are working to
bolster the rebels' ability to fight the regime.
Yes,
this was one incredible Holy Week for Putin the Pope and the CIA. While Putin and the Pope fight for peace and
justice, the CIA promotes civil unrest, austerity for the people, puppet
governments and theft of wealth by the Federal Reserve.
