MAKING IT HAPPEN

The French joined the fight in full on American soil in 1780, at
which point their highly disciplined army under the command of Lieutenant
General Comte de Rochambeau set as their goal the total defeat of the British.
The two decisive battles of the
American Revolution were the Battle of the Chesapeake and the Battle of
Yorktown. The first was a strategic naval victory by the French navy over the
British. Comte de Grasse and Comte de
Bougainville, the French admirals who led fleets of warships, effectively
prevented the British navy from reinforcing forces at Yorktown.
Meanwhile, Yorktown saw armies
under the command of Washington, Rochambeau, and French Major General Marquis
de Lafayette decisively overpower British forces. The surrender of Lord Cornwallis effectively marked the end of the war,
with the major powers opening peace talks.
French blood helped secure American independence. In a very real
way, the road toward America becoming a world superpower passed through the

Powell made so strong a case that "only the duped, the dumb and the
desperate" like de Villepin could ignore it.
They were all outdone in
French-bashing by Christopher Hitchens of Vanity Fair, who was given the run of
the op-ed page of the Wall Street
Journal on Thursday to categorise Chirac as "a positive monster of conceit
. . . a vain and posturing and venal man . . . the rat that tried to

Ingratitude from a Vichy France

On the other hand, Dr. Tony Fauci (a.k.a. “The Science”) did
not appear to be senile in his Senate testimony this week, just desperate,
since the full story of how his long and rather secretive campaign to
heroically develop the vaccine-to-end-all-vaccines — which seems to have come
to grief in this Covid-19 catastrophe — is just busting to come out.
And the story, as I understand it,
is that for over twenty years Dr. Fauci
has been pumping gazillions of taxpayer dollars into the creation of
bio-weapon-grade coronavirus research, and vaccines against them, while registering patents on all that
stuff.
Also, that there was nothing “novel” about the “novel” coronavirus SARS-CoV-2
(Covid-19). Rather Dr. Fauci and his colleagues, such as Peter Daszak of
the EcoHealth Alliance, and Dr. Ralph Baric of the University of North
Carolina, had been swapping these
coronavirus iterations from one lab to another for years — including the Wuhan,
China, Lab — seeking to provide a
rational for vaccines that they expected to profit from, if only the
government (or many governments) could be induced to deploy them.
In the fall of 2019, around the time Covid-19 came on the scene, they
were all set to go. Moderna was already at the head of the development line,
patents in place, with its computer simulation vaccine featuring the S1 spike
protein as its active agent, with Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson taking up
the rear.
Exactly where and how the virus got
loose remains a mystery, though the Wuhan lab release (accidental or otherwise)
is one hypothetical story with legs. A less-known one, because the Pentagon’s DARPA was involved in the same virus research,
has to do with a US Army delegation
sent to China for some sort of ceremonial exercise in the fall of 2019 with,
perhaps, infected soldiers, intended to light up that country with yet another
in a long-line of animal-to-human viruses…thus priming the heroic debut of Dr. Fauci’s sponsored
world-saving vaxes.
Poor Mr. Trump was hustled into the “Warp Speed” cover story for these
shenanigans — which perhaps explains
why he never looked entirely comfortable onstage with Dr. Fauci and the rest of
the White House “team.”
Meanwhile news about the efficacy of the vaccines, and especially any
adverse reactions to the vaccines, has been very carefully managed by the
government, the captive news media, and the — let’s just say it — the evil
social media including Facebook, Twitter, and Google’s YouTube. How much are they squelching the actual
numbers of deaths directly related to the vaccines? A savvy correspondent with
a medical license writes:
…the rate of reporting [adverse reactions] to the VAERS system in the
US and Europe is very poor: somewhere between 1 and ten percent of actual
events being reported. This obviously
means that the actual death rate is likely much higher. So, I would not be surprised if the real number
of ‘vax’ induced deaths in the US is in the range of 100,000 or more, much
more.
This is very reasonable when you take into account the shockingly frequent effects involving myocardial
inflammation and blood clotting. Both of these pathologic processes
logically stem from inflammation stimulated by massive production of the S1
spike protein by the injected mRNA. The S1 spike protein, as you know, is the
inflammation-inducing toxin in Covid infections.
There was a major fuck-up by focusing on stimulating the production of
S1; they, the PTB researchers, thought that the S1 protein was just a marker
for SARs-COV, not the pathogenic toxin. In
my opinion, most of the deaths from the mRNA ‘vax’ are going to take much
longer via long-term inflammatory damage to the vascular system (including
heart tissue, brain blood vessels, etc.). Of course, they will deny that
such deaths are related to the ‘vax’ given the time distance from the
injection. Too many people, making too
much money from the mRNA shot….”

apogee of summer. Every day we are

The new book by Dennis Kucinich
recounts his battle with corporate elites to protect a public utility…
Kucinich, a diminutive 23-year-old,
who was often mistaken for the paperboy when he campaigned door to door, had
just been elected at the opening of the book to be the new Councilman from Ward
Seven. Kucinich grew up in Ward Seven in
extreme poverty. His family struggled to pay rent and utility bills. They
endured evictions and at one point were forced to sleep in their car.
Ward Seven was, he recalls, where “I went to high school, where church
spires and pipe-organ smokestacks reached to a smudged sky. A neighborhood
populated by a steely league of nations who spoke Polish, Greek, Slovak,
Ukrainian, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, and occasionally English…
Because he would not abandon his
neighborhood, his people, he was on a collision course with the monied elites
who ran the city. The seasoned politicians in city hall assumed that Kucinich, like
themselves, would sell out the voters for his own political and economic
advancement. No one thought he was serious about defending those who
elected him.
They welcomed him to the cynical club of our bought-and-paid-for
political class and explained the inner workings of our system of legalized
bribery. He was young. He was talented. He would go far, the political
hacks assured him, if he did the bidding of the real centers of power.
“These pros knew that every one of the thirty-three Cleveland
City Council seats were won with campaign contributions from banks who held
city deposits, money from phone, gas, and electric interests, or downtown real
estate developers who never lost an election because they always bet on both
sides,” Kucinich writes.
One middle-aged Councilman, an
attorney from a neighboring ward, let’s call him Richard, befriended me,
confiding, “Dennis, there are a lot of
legitimate ways you can make money in politics. Nothing dishonest, mind
you. Opportunities come to people who hold office,” he said.
“Opportunities?”
“You know, you do favors for
people. They do favors for you.”
“Favors?” I didn’t understand.
“Attorneys elected to Council get
law business thrown their way. Insurance salesmen get policies. Travel agents
book trips for people they help. Real estate guys get commissions from property
deals called to their attention,” he shared. “It’s all legit...”
The rules were clear from the
start. Serve the interests of big
business and the city’s rich — by granting tax abatements, 99-year franchises,
monopolies, and bond financing for big, often unnecessary multi-million dollar
projects — and thrive. Defy those interests and face political oblivion.
“City Hall reeked of mendacity, of
checking one’s spiritual beliefs at the door like a beat-up coat and entering
into circumstances where unseen forces
were dictating decisions, demanding consensus, and meting out punishment to
those who denied the deal-making, was, after all, politics, the dominion of
amorality,where personal advancement relied on pragmatism
operating in shuttered light, without the imposition of conscience,” Kucinich
writes.
Once it was clear the elites could not buy him off, they set out to
destroy his political career, slander and intimidate him, and, after he was
elected mayor in 1977, wreck the city’s finances and finally attempt to assassinate him.
The ruling elites play for keeps.And this is why a politician like Kucinich,
with integrity and undaunted courage, is
an anathema in the deeply corrupted world of American electoral politics where
nearly all who flourish, in city, state and national politics, do so because
they have a price.
The battle royale, which would see
the business elites force the city into default to remove Kucinich from the
mayor’s office, centered around the
schemes by CEI (Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co.) to crush the public
utility, Municipal Light, or Muny Light, founded in 1907 by then-Cleveland
Mayor Tom L. Johnson.
CEI sought a monopoly so it could jack up rates for the city’s
residents. CEI orchestrated blackouts by blocking Muny’s access to back-up
power and exhausting the patience of Muny customers to force them into the
hands of CEI. The fight to save Muny was, Kucinich knew, more than a fight to
protect a public utility.
Johnson said when the founded the
public utility, “I believe in public
ownership of all public service monopolies for the same reason that I believe
in the municipal ownership of waterworks, of parks, of schools. I believe
in the municipal ownership of these monopolies because if you do not own them,
they will in time own you. They will corrupt your politics, rule
your institutions and finally destroy your liberties.”
But it was not only Kucinich the
business elites targeted. They destroyed the careers of the handful
of reporters who attempted to investigate and make public the dirty
machinations of CEI and the ruling elites. Kucinich watched as one
honest reporter after another was silenced by his or her employer, beholden to
the money and power of advertisers.
Kucinich discovered that the press
was not only docile, but complicit. He realized he would have few allies in the
public arena. When the war against him
began in earnest, the press dutifully amplified the lies spun out by the public
relations departments of the corporations against Kucinich. The city was
saturated with constant news and editorials touting the benefits of privatizing
the private utility, although customers with Muny Light had one of the lowest
electric rates in the country.
When Steve Clark, the top radio news commentator in Cleveland on
WERE radio, for example, decried CEI’s spending over $7 million for promotions
and advertising, or about $11 per customer, and announced that CEI
had realized a net profit of $40 million, or more than sixteen cents for each
dollar of operating revenue, at the same time it was demanding a 20 percent
rate increase from the Ohio Public Utilities Commission, WHICH WOULD
GENERATE AN ADDITIONAL $54 MILLION ANNUALLY for the company, his career was
finished. The radio station received at least $70,000 a year from CEI in
advertising. The owners did not intend
to lose it. Clark was fired.
“News reporters covering the
Council meeting were a sketch of supine immobility, a confession of the
futility of expression without independence,” Kucinich writes. “If CEI worked to influence editors, the
editors in turn would place limitations on their reporters. I could not
expect any help from the ‘free press…’”
The Muny Light wars exposed
the lengths corporate power and the mob bosses, who Kucinich also fought, will
go to destroy anyone who threatens their unchecked pillaging…
(Nearly two decades later, after
wandering the political wilderness — and the country — yet still supported
strongly by the working class of Cleveland, Kucinich made an unexpected
political comeback when he was elected to Congress in 1996. However, in 2010 the Democratic Party
machine in Ohio drew up a redistricting plan which moved his Cleveland home
address into the Toledo-based district of another incumbent, all but assuring
his defeat in 2012…)
His enemies did not forgive him
once they removed him from office. He
and those who worked in his mayoral administration were blacklisted by the

Trump supporters know the collusion
case front and back. They went from worrying the collusion must be real, to
suspecting it might be fake, to
realizing it was a scam, then watched as every institution - agencies, the
press, Congress, academia - gaslit them for another year.
Worse, collusion was used to scare people away from working in the administration.
They knew their entire lives would be investigated. Many quit because they were
being bankrupted by legal fees. The DoJ, press, & gov't destroyed lives
and actively subverted an elected admin.
This is where people whose
political identity was largely defined by a naive belief in what they learned
in Civics class began to see the outline of a Regime that crossed all
institutional boundaries. Because it had

GOP propaganda still has many of them
thinking in terms of partisan binaries, but
A LOT of Trump supporters see that the Regime is not partisan. They all
know that the same institutions would have taken opposite sides if it was a
Tulsi Gabbard vs Jeb Bush election.
It's hard to describe to people on
the left (who are used to thinking of gov't as a conspiracy... Watergate,
COINTELPRO, WMD, etc) how shocking &
disillusioning this was for people who encourage their sons to enlist in the
Army, and hate ppl who don't stand for the Anthem. They could have managed

But the behavior of the corporate
press is really what radicalized them. They
hate journalists more than they hate any politician or gov't official, because

Then you get the Hunter laptop
scandal. Big Tech ran a full-on
censorship campaign against a major newspaper to protect a political candidate.
Period. Everyone knows it, all of the Tech companies now admit it was a
"mistake" - but, ya know, the election's over, so who cares?
Goes w/o saying, but: If the NY Times had Don Jr's laptop, full of pics
of him smoking crack and engaging in group sex, lots of lurid family drama,
emails describing direct corruption and backed up by the CEO of the company
they were using, the NYT wouldn't have been banned…
Everyone knows that, just as Don Jr's laptop would've been the story of
the century, if everything about the election dispute was the same, except
the parties were reversed, suspicions about the outcome would've been Taken

Even the courts' refusal of the
case gets nowhere w/them, because of how the opposition embraced mass political
violence. They'll say, w/good reason:
What judge will stick his neck out for Trump knowing he'll be destroyed in the
media as a violent mob burns down his house?
It's a fact, according to Time
Magazine, that mass riots were planned
in cities across the country if Trump won. Sure, they were
"protests", but they were planned by the same people as during the
summer, and everyone knows what it would have meant. Judges have families, too.
Forget the ballot conspiracies. It's a fact that governors used COVID to
unconstitutionally alter election procedures (the Constitution states that only
legislatures can do so) to help Biden to make up for a massive enthusiasm gap
by gaming the mail-in ballot system.
They knew it was unconstitutional,
it's right there in plain English. But they knew the cases wouldn't see court
until after the election. And what judge will toss millions of ballots because
a governor broke the rules? The threat

as being safe, there are millions of us-

being avid and uncompromising Constitutionalists.
Sadly, some of this needed
restlessness and resistance is being coopted and rechanneled into futile
action: Hope and energy poured into some coming elections (as if no lesson
learned or registered after the last round!), resources and faith placed on courts (as if any good has come out of
the Kangaroo Courts in the past two decades- be it on Unconstitutional Police
State practices such as warrantless surveillance or forced muzzling and caging!).
All tried- many times. All failed-every time.
Then why not try a different and
more feasible tact?
Our Tenth Amendment, almost never-utilized, is still there. Isn’t
it time to put it to use in practice- as it was, and is, intended? Guarding our Constitutional rights falls
upon us, but also on our state governments- and together can be formed into
sanctuaries for our Constitution- to uphold and defend it.

organize. Let’s make our states “Sanctuaries for the Constitution”. It is our
most feasible and doable action plan. It

The Israeli police took another step toward criminalizing journalism
on Saturday when they arrested Al Jazeera Arabic correspondent Givara
al-Budeiri while she was covering a demonstration in the Sheikh Jarrah
neighborhood of East Jerusalem marking the anniversary of the Naksa, the
Setback.
That term is how is how
Palestinians refer to the 1967 Israeli military occupation of the Palestinian
territories. She was clearly wearing a
vest marked “Press” when Israeli police assaulted her, shoved her against a
wall, kicked her, packed her into a squad car and kicked her some more, then
jailed her for seven hours. She complained of pain in her right side. The Israelis released her on condition that
she stay away from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood for 15 days.
What? Why?
The Israeli authorities initially
tried to accuse her of assaulting the police, but the Israeli police beating of the hapless journalist were caught on
camera by the Al Jazeera cameraman, and they had to back away from that
tactic. Then they said she hadn’t clearly identified herself as a journalist,
but her vest is clearly visible.
The Israeli authorities are clearly
trying to keep the international press away from Sheikh Jarrah. On June 10, Israeli squatter-settlers who
are measuring Palestinians’ apartments for new drapes in hopes of displacing
them and taking their apartments, will march provocatively through Sheikh
Jarrah with Israeli flags, on “Flag Day…”
Sometime soon, as well, the Israeli courts will rule on the planned displacement
of over dozens of Palestinian families from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah
and Silwan. Ms. al-Budeiri’s brutal
treatment may have been intended to send a message to Al Jazeera journalists to
stay away.
Note that these events happened in
what Israel considers Israeli territory, not in the Occupied West Bank. Israel illegally annexed East Jerusalem to
its district of Jerusalem, an act
prohibited by the United Nations charter.
On Friday, Palestinian residents of
Israel organized a charity run from Sheikh Jarrah to Silwan in East Jerusalem,
in part to protest the upcoming displacement of families from their apartments
in those two places by Israeli squatters. The
Israeli security forces attacked the runners, injuring 23 of them…

beating up on people and violating the right to freely assemble, criminalizing
peaceful protest.

The American government was overthrown just as Netanyahu
came to power and George W. Bush was installed as president with a preordained
agenda for world domination. Bush was
wildly unpopular with an approval rate of less than thirty percent, that is
until the 911 false flag attack on American soil. Within nine months what was sold as a Pearl
Harbor type was launched to justify unending wars and financial destruction of

Two years ago a project set up by the men who now surround George W
Bush said what America needed was “a new Pearl Harbor.” Its published aims
have, alarmingly, come true. The threat
posed by US terrorism to the security of nations and individuals was outlined
in prophetic detail in a document written more than two years ago and disclosed
only recently.
What was needed for America to
dominate much of humanity and the world’s resources, it said, was “some
catastrophic and catalysing event – like a new Pearl Harbor”. The attacks of 11 September 2001 provided
the “new Pearl Harbor”, described as “the opportunity of ages”. The
extremists who have since exploited 11 September come from the era of Ronald
Reagan, when far-right groups and “think-tanks” were established to avenge the
American “defeat” in Vietnam.
In the 1990s, there was an added agenda: to justify the denial of a “peace
dividend” following the cold war. The Project for the New American Century
was formed, along with the American Enterprise Institute, the Hudson Institute
and others that have since merged the ambitions of the Reagan administration
with those of the current Bush regime.
One of George W Bush’s “thinkers” is Richard Perle. I interviewed Perle
when he was advising Reagan; and when he spoke about “total war”, I
mistakenly dismissed him as mad. He recently used the term again in describing
America’s “war on terror”. “No stages,” he said. “This is total war. We are
fighting a variety of enemies.
There are lots of them out there.
All this talk about first we are going to do Afghanistan, then we will do
Iraq... this is entirely the wrong way to go about it. If we just let our vision of the world go forth, and we embrace it
entirely and we don’t try to piece together clever diplomacy, but just wage a
total war... our children will sing great songs about us years from now.”
Perle is one of the founders of the Project for the New American
Century, the PNAC. Other founders include Dick Cheney, now vice-president,
Donald Rumsfeld, defence secretary, Paul Wolfowitz, deputy defence
secretary, I Lewis Libby, Cheney’s chief of staff, William J Bennett, Reagan’s
education secretary, and Zalmay Khalilzad, Bush’s ambassador to Afghanistan.
These are the modern chartists of
American terrorism. The PNAC’s seminal report, Rebuilding America’s Defences:
strategy, forces and resources for a new century, was a blueprint of American
aims in all but name. Two years ago it recommended an increase
in arms-spending by $48bn so that Washington could “fight and win multiple,
simultaneous major theatre wars”. This has happened. It said the
United States should develop “bunker-buster” nuclear weapons and make “star
wars” a national priority. This is happening. It said that, in the event of Bush taking power, Iraq should be a
target. And so it is.
As for Iraq’s alleged “weapons of
mass destruction”, these were dismissed, in so many words, as a convenient
excuse, which it is. “While the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the
immediate justification,” it says, “the
need for a substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue
of the regime of Saddam Hussein.”
How has this grand strategy been
implemented? A series of articles in the
Washington Post, co-authored by Bob Woodward of Watergate fame and based on
long interviews with senior members of the Bush administration, reveals how 11
September was manipulated.
On the morning of 12 September 2001, without any evidence of who the
hijackers were, Rumsfeld demanded that the US attack Iraq. According to
Woodward, Rumsfeld told a cabinet meeting that Iraq should be “a principal
target of the first round in the war against terrorism”.
Iraq was temporarily spared only
because Colin Powell, the secretary of state, persuaded Bush that “public
opinion has to be prepared before a move against Iraq is possible”. Afghanistan was chosen as the softer
option. If Jonathan Steele’s estimate in the Guardian is correct, some 20,000
people in Afghanistan paid the price of this debate with their lives.
Time and again, 11 September is
described as an “opportunity”. In last April’s New Yorker, the investigative
reporter Nicholas Lemann wrote that Bush’s
most senior adviser, Condoleezza Rice, told him she had called together senior
members of the National Security Council and asked them “to think about ‘how do
you capitalise on these opportunities’”, which she compared with those of
“1945 to 1947”: the start of the cold war.
Since 11 September, America has established bases at the gateways to
all the major sources of fossil fuels, especially central Asia. The Unocal
oil company is to build a pipeline across Afghanistan. Bush has scrapped the
Kyoto Protocol on greenhouse gas emissions, the war crimes provisions of the
International Criminal Court and the anti-ballistic missile treaty.
He has said he will use nuclear
weapons against non-nuclear states “if necessary”. Under cover of propaganda
about Iraq’s alleged weapons of mass destruction, the Bush regime is developing new weapons of mass destruction that
undermine international treaties on biological and chemical warfare.
In the Los Angeles Times, the
military analyst William Arkin describes a
secret army set up by Donald Rumsfeld, similar to those run by Richard
Nixon and Henry Kissinger and which Congress outlawed. This “super-intelligence support activity” will bring together the “CIA
and military covert action, information warfare, and deception”.
According to a classified document prepared for Rumsfeld, the new
organisation, known by its Orwellian moniker as the Proactive Pre-emptive
Operations Group, or P2OG, will
provoke terrorist attacks which would then require “counter-attack” by the
United States on countries “harbouring the terrorists”.
In other words, innocent people
will be killed by the United States. This is reminiscent of Operation
Northwoods, the plan put to President Kennedy by his military chiefs for a phoney terrorist campaign - complete with
bombings, hijackings, plane crashes and dead Americans - as justification for
an invasion of Cuba. Kennedy rejected it.
He was assassinated a few months
later. Now Rumsfeld has resurrected Northwoods, but with resources undreamt of
in 1963 and with no global rival to invite caution. You have to keep reminding yourself this is not fantasy: that truly
dangerous men, such as Perle and Rumsfeld and Cheney, have power. The
thread running through their ruminations is the importance of the media: “THE PRIORITISED TASK OF BRINGING ON BOARD
JOURNALISTS OF REPUTE TO ACCEPT OUR POSITION”.
“Our position” is code for lying.
Certainly, as a journalist, I have never known official lying to be more
pervasive than today. We may laugh at the vacuities in Tony Blair’s “Iraq
dossier” and Jack Straw’s inept lie that Iraq has developed a nuclear bomb
(which his minions rushed to “explain”). But
the more insidious lies, justifying an unprovoked attack on Iraq and linking it
to would-be terrorists who are said to lurk in every Tube station, are
routinely channelled as news. They are not news; they are black propaganda.
This corruption makes
journalists and broadcasters mere ventriloquists’ dummies. An
attack on a nation of 22 million suffering people is discussed by liberal
commentators as if it were a subject at an academic seminar, at which pieces
can be pushed around a map, as the old imperialists used to do.
The issue for these humanitarians
is not primarily the brutality of modern imperial domination, but how “bad” Saddam
Hussein is. There is no admission that their decision to join the war party further seals the fate of
perhaps thousands of innocent Iraqis condemned to wait on America’s
international death row.
Their doublethink will not work. You cannot support murderous piracy in the
name of humanitarianism. Moreover, the extremes of American fundamentalism
that we now face have been staring at us for too long for those of good heart
and sense not to recognise them.
If only John Pilger were right when he said “the extremes of
American fundamentalism that we now face have been staring at us for too long for
those of good heart and sense not to recognise them.”
But alas America’s media has been completely coopted by the
intelligence agencies and the American people have been subjected to continuous
terrorist attacks to keep them in a state subjugation. All it takes to get the American people on
board with this imperialist agenda is to tell them we are saving oppressed people

George W. Bush’s Shameful Legacy in Afghanistan
Former President George W. Bush is
bewailing President Joe Biden’s plan to withdraw all U.S. troops from
Afghanistan. Bush told Fox News last
week, “I’m also deeply concerned about the sacrifices of our soldiers, and our
intelligence community, will be forgotten,” after the war ends. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the
American media has already forgotten how Bush’s lies turned U.S. intervention
in Afghanistan into a quagmire that pointlessly killed and maimed thousands of
American soldiers.
After Al Qaeda hijacked four
airplanes on Sept. 11, wreaking death and destruction in New York and
Washington, it was inevitable that the U.S. military would respond. But rather
than targeting Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden, Bush chose to conquer Afghanistan
and seek to rebuild it as some type of female-friendly utopia. While the Bush White House boasted of
liberating the downtrodden Afghan people, Bush’s military geniuses let Bin
Laden and other Al Qaeda leaders escape at Tora Bora.
Brazen lies permeated Bush’s
efforts from the start. In his State of the Union address on Jan. 29, 2002, Bush frightened Americans with a bogus
nuclear threat: “Our discoveries in Afghanistan confirmed our worst fears. . .
. We have found diagrams of American nuclear power plants and public water
facilities” in caves used by Al Qaeda.
Senior CIA and FBI officials
followed up with “background” briefings to the media, revving up the threat
that Afghan-based Al Qaeda fighters were targeting U.S. nuclear power
facilities. This made the terrorist
threat far more ominous and spurred support for Bush’s preemptive war policy
against Iraq.
Two years later, Bush administration officials admitted that the
president’s statement was completely false and that no nuclear power plant
diagrams had been discovered in Afghanistan…
Bush’s lies on a nuclear threat from Afghanistan paved the way to his
far more destructive lies regarding Iraqi chemical and biological weapons in
his 2003 State of the Union address…
Sanctifying War as Women’s Victory
Bush sanctified his Afghan war as
the greatest triumph for women’s liberation in modern history. In his 2002
State of the Union address, Bush
boasted, “The mothers and daughters of Afghanistan were captives in their own
homes.… Today women are free.” But a United Nations report the following
year on rural Afghanistan concluded that “the situation of women has not
changed to any great extent since the removal of the Taliban.”
New York Times columnist Nicholas
Kristof, who visited Afghanistan in early 2004, reported that “many Afghan
women are still captives in their homes…. The
rise of banditry and rape has had a particularly devastating effect on women.
Because the roads are not safe even
in daylight, girls do not dare go to schools or their mothers to health centers.”
One international aid worker commented that during the Taliban era “if a woman
went to market and showed an inch of flesh she would have been flogged — now
she’s raped.”
In 2009, shortly after Bush’s
presidency ended, THE U.S.-APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF AFGHANISTAN, HAMID KARZAI,
APPROVED A LAW ENTITLING HUSBANDS TO STARVE THEIR WIVES TO DEATH IF THEY DENIED
THEM SEX.
But at least the U.S. government
was not systematically subsidizing the rape of women — unlike the brutal
fate of Afghan boys.Since the start
of Bush’s invasion of Afghanistan, the U.S. military has poured money into
Afghan government operations guilty of Bacha bazi — turning young boys into sex
slaves.
In 2017, the Special Inspector
General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) reported, “Afghan officials remain complicit, especially in the sexual
exploitation … of children by Afghan security forces…”
During his 2004 reelection
campaign, Bush boasted, “Thanks to the United States… Afghanistan is no longer
a haven for terror. Afghanistan is a free country.” But the Bush
administration did nothing to prevent the Afghan government it installed from
tyrannizing the Afghan people. Even
more damning, the U.S. military and CIA brazenly tortured Afghans, atrocities
that President Bush perpetually denied even though it was reported as early as
December 2002.
Torture Regime
In 2004, the Los Angeles Times reported allegations that Afghan
soldiers detained by the U.S. government had suffered “repeated beatings,
immersion in cold water, electric shocks, being hung upside down and toenails
being torn off…”
Bush has never taken responsibility or shown any remorse for setting up
an illegal worldwide torture regime. During his years in the White House,
Bush perennially denied that he had approved torture. But in 2010, during an
author tour to promote his new memoir, he bragged about approving waterboarding
for terrorist suspects.
Dishonest from Start
Bush’s Afghan war was not good intentions gone awry: It was profoundly
dishonest from the start. Afghanistan quickly became nothing more than a
political boasting point for Bush. In
October 2002, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld was appalled when Bush did not
even recognize the name of the U.S. general in charge of Afghanistan and had no
interest in meeting him.
Christopher Kolenda, a U.S. Army
colonel who repeatedly deployed to Afghanistan to advise top U.S. commanders, declared
that the Afghan government had “self-organized into a kleptocracy,” a
government of thieves, by 2006. Ryan
Crocker, Bush’s ambassador to Afghanistan, admitted, “Our biggest single project, sadly and inadvertently, of course, may
have been the development of mass corruption.”
An investigation by SIGAR found
that it was “common at military headquarters in Kabul — and at the White House
— to distort statistics to make it appear the United States was winning the war
when that was not the case.” In 2019, SIGAR chief John Sopko summarized
the U.S. intervention in Afghanistan: “The American people have constantly been
lied to.”
Forgotten falsehoods almost
guarantee new political treachery. George W. Bush now serves as a “useful
idiot” for politicians who want to perpetuate America’s disastrous
interventions abroad. But if there is
any justice, the name of George W. Bush will live in infamy as a betrayer of
American soldiers and the Afghan people as well as an enemy of decency and the
U.S. Constitution.
Evil took over America in 2000 when the U.S. Supreme Court
stopped the votes from being counted and declared George W. Bush President of
the United States. Bush packed the
courts with extremists who do not believe in the constitution nor do they
believe in the rule of law. Those judges
were confirmed by a Zionist majority in the Senate.
The 2021 election was a sham and now the Zionists have
retaken control of the American government and are turning their attention to
destroying the constitutional rights of the American people. The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq with their
torture regime laid the groundwork for the destruction of the court system in

Torture Enters the Courtroom
For the first time in American history, a federal judge last week
authorized the government to admit as evidence in a criminal case in a public
courtroom words uttered by the defendant that were obtained under torture.
The fruits of torture – which is any cruel or degrading or intentionally
painful or disorienting behavior visited upon a person in captivity to
induce compliance or to gratify the torturer– are not permitted
in any court in the United States, and their inducement is criminal.
Here is the backstory.
Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, a
low-level former member of the Taliban, is accused with others of plotting the
suicide bombing of the USS Cole in October 2000 that killed 17 American
sailors. He has been in U.S. custody
since 2002 and at the US Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, since 2004.
When he was first captured, he was turned over to the CIA for interrogation,
not the Department of Justice for prosecution.
The practice of the federal
government immediately following 9/11, when it captured anyone overseas from
whom it believed it could extract national security information, was to hand the person over to the CIA
for torture – the feds call it “enhanced interrogation” – at a “dark site”
in a foreign country with which the US does not have an extradition treaty.
The reason for the location of the
torture was the erroneous belief by DOJ and CIA officials that torture
conducted or condoned by American personnel is not prosecutable if it occurs
outside the U.S. That has never been the law in the U.S., but it has been the practice
of the DOJ and the CIA to shield their personnel with secrecy
when they are caught engaging in torture in a foreign country.
However, because either the
tortured person or someone connected to whatever the tortured person revealed
was to be tried in a federal court, and because no federal court can admit evidence against a defendant that was
obtained under torture, the feds devised a scheme around this.
That scheme called for FBI “clean teams” to interrogate the tortured
person after the torture was completed, using conventional and lawful
interrogation techniques. These techniques often proved more successful
than CIA torture. Because these techniques were lawful, and the person being
interrogated was advised of his rights and treated humanely by the FBI, the
information thus obtained from him was usable in federal court.
At trial, a defendant can always
demonstrate that he had been tortured, not to obtain the jury’s sympathy but to
enable his lawyers to argue to the
jurors that they should disregard as unconstitutional, immoral, unlawful and
un-American whatever evidence the torture produced.
Al-Nashiri’s lawyers told the court
and the prosecutors at Guantanamo Bay that they intend to argue at trial to the
jury that the government has the wrong man and that the true plotters have
already been killed by US forces. The
feds, in order to counter that argument, told the court that they have
statements that al-Nashiri made during his torture that can arguably be used to
question his defense...
If the trial judge had followed the
law, he would have ordered the torturers into his court room and had them
arrested on the spot. But
the trial judge in this case did not follow American law and rejected American
values and all sense of human decency when he authorized the government to
introduce at trial a partial transcript of the statements al-Nashiri allegedly
made under torture.
He also broke with 230 years of precedent. He also gave judicial
credibility to governmental barbarism and nihilism in the extreme, which holds
that individual human beings are subject
to the state and, since their rights come from the state, they and their rights
exist at the pleasure of the state.
The government lies, cheats, steals
and kills; and it has written laws that permit it to do so and make legal
recourse against it nearly impossible. But nothing it does is more damnable than
torture. Torture is the ultimate
triumph of the state over a person and the ultimate degradation of personhood. It
is a complete rejection of the values of the Declaration of Independence and
the Constitution. And it doesn’t work…
Many appeals remain for al-Nashiri
before his jury trial comes to pass; and torture – with all its sufferings by
victim and perpetrators – is part of the history of his case. I
trust that saner judicial heads in the appellate process will prevail and this
precedent-shattering and monstrous decision will soon be overturned. But its
damage is done.
The government of the United States engages in torture and will
continue to do so until the torturers are punished. And the prosecutors for
whom the torturers work will someday try again to get the fruits of their
barbaric behavior legitimized in an American courtroom.
When will the government stop the use of torture? Whom will it torture
next? Why does it swear to uphold the Constitution and then trash it?
The courts in America have been infested with judges who
serve large corporations and have allowed predators like Chevron to torture and
imprison American citizens in an extra-judicial unconstitutional system.
Now the Great Satan believes they cannot be stopped, they
control all the levers of power and will not relinquish power if they have to
destroy America to hold onto it. This is
the final solution as was laid out in the Project for a New American Century’s
revival of Zionism and the lust for global domination. This is the secret society that President
John F. Kennedy spoke of before he was assassinated. Will the world survive these nuclear armed
