The Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) is a United States law passed in 1938 requiring that agents representing the interests of foreign powers in a "political or quasi-political capacity" disclose their relationship with the foreign government and information about related activities and finances.  Members of our U.S. congress and their staff as well as those occupying high positions in the various cabinets and think tanks, have enriched themselves off American largess leaving America in shambles.  Those members of congress should be required to register as foreign agents so American voters know to whom and where their loyalty lies before we allow them to write and enforce our laws.

Those unregistered foreign agents in congress have passed laws that conflict with American interests and benefit foreign nations.  Every war that has been waged since the overthrow of the American government in 2000 have been launched for the benefit of the right wing genocidal government of Israel and detrimental to America.  Those same members of congress were elected after they pledged their allegiance to AIPAC, The America Israeli Public Affairs Committee.  So it is natural to ask “should AIPAC be required to register as a foreign agent?”  From The American Conservative:

Last week the Senate Judiciary Committee postponed a meeting ostensibly convened to discuss the failure to enforce the Foreign Agents Registration Act of 1938 (FARA). Originally rescheduled for this week, the postponed meeting would have featured Donald Trump Jr. and former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort testifying about their controversial Trump Tower meeting, but their subpoenas were canceled at the last minute after they arranged to turn over documents…

The Judiciary Committee hearing was originally set up to look at the possible Russian links of former journalist and head of the research firm Fusion GPS Glenn Simpson, who was behind the infamous Trump dossier that appeared in January…

FARA was created in the lead up to World War II to help monitor the activity of Italian, German and Japanese agent-lobbyists who were believed to be working hard in the U.S. to influence opinion as well as congressional votes in favor of their respective sponsoring nations. The intention was to force the “foreign agents” to register with the Department of the Treasury so they would have to identify their government sponsors and be required to reveal their sources of income…

Ironically, the most powerful and effective foreign-government lobby in Washington is so dominant that it has been able to avoid registering for the past 55 years. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) was last confronted by FARA when its predecessor organization the American Zionist Council was pressured by John F. Kennedy’s Justice Department in 1962 and 1963. Kennedy’s death stopped that effort—and ended White House attempts to hold Israel accountable for the development of its secret nuclear weapons program (which depended on nuclear material removed illegally from the United States with the connivance of a company located in Pennsylvania called NUMEC).

AIPAC’s website declares that it is “America’s Pro-Israel Lobby,” so by its own admission it functions pretty clearly as Israel’s proxy. It spent $102 million in 2015, had 396 employees in 2013, and claims to have 100,000 members, many of whom are organized into state and city chapters. It also benefits from being a tax exempt 501(c)4 organization classified as promoting “international understanding…”

The last U.S. President to challenge the lobbying efforts by AIPAC was John F. Kennedy who was assassinated, ensuring no other President would dare confront AIPAC who enjoys tax exempt status.

Our American congress is on a month-long vacation so that they may return home to face their constituents.  But are members of congress meeting with their constituents?  Or maybe the better question is “who are their constituents?”  From Information Clearing House:

Bought and Paid For 53 Congressional Reps On All Expense Paid Trips To Israel

At least 53 Congressional representatives are on a week-long trip to Israel, paid for by the American Israel Education Foundation (AIEF), an arm of the powerful lobbying group AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee).

AIEF’s budget is approximately $80 million, which it uses to take diverse groups to Israel. More than a dozen Latino leaders from the Southwest U.S. have just returned from an AIEF funded five-day trip to Israel that ended Aug 6, and a trip for top political operatives was conducted in June.

The Tampa Bay Times reports about the Congressional trips: “AIPAC gets around restrictions on privately paid travel by using the educational arm, an arrangement government watchdogs have criticized.”  “A decade ago, the House banned groups from paying for extended trips as part of the fallout from the scandal over lobbyist Jack Abramoff. But a loophole allowed educational foundations to pick up the tab. The Israel trips are estimated at $10,000 per person.

“Members of Congress feel indebted to someone who provides them with a week’s long vacation. It’s lobbying and it’s more effective than direct lobbying on Capitol Hill,” Craig Holman of the watchdog group Public Citizen, who helped draft the 2007 laws, told the Tampa Bay Times in 2013.  He said the loophole has been steadily abused and privately-paid travel is back to pre-reform levels.

“This is not what lobbying should be about,” Holman said. “It should be about providing information and expertise so lawmakers can make better decisions, not trying to buy their favors with gifts and travel junkets.”

Hmmm, lobbing should not be about “trying to buy favors with gifts and travel junkets” and yet that is exactly what is being done by these unregistered foreign agents.  Time and again the unregistered foreign agents in our congress reward those who pay for those perks.  From The Independent:

45 senators support bill that makes boycotting Israel a crime

A bill that would criminalise boycotts against Israel has been signed by 45 US senators and 237 congressman.  The so-called “Israel Anti-Boycott Act” would impose fines of up to $250,000 (£192,000) on any US citizen “engaged in interstate or foreign commerce” who supports a boycott of Israeli goods and services.

However, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has argued that the bill would “impose civil and criminal punishment on individuals solely because of their political beliefs about Israel and its policies”, in a letter sent to members of the Senate.  “In short, the bill would punish businesses and individuals solely based on their point of view,” it wrote. “Such a penalty is in direct violation of the First Amendment…”

Still, the bill – reportedly drafted with the help of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) – has received widespread bipartisan support…

Even liberal-leaning senators like Kirsten Gillibrand of New York and Maria Cantwell of Washington, and representatives like Adam Schiff of Massachusetts, have signed on to the legislation.  Conservatives like Senators Ted Cruz of Texas and Marco Rubio of Florida also support it.

Not all of congressional unregistered foreign agents went to Israel on an all-expenses paid vacation, some remained at home and faced the scorn of the American people.  From TheIntercept:

SENATORS PROMISE TO AMEND ISRAEL BOYCOTT BILL AFTER BACKLASH

THE LEAD AUTHOR of the controversial Israel Anti-Boycott Act, Democratic Sen. Ben Cardin of Maryland, is open to amending the legislation to address concerns raised by the American Civil Liberties Union, he told The Intercept Monday evening.

The ACLU warned last week that the measure, which targets the BDS movement, was unconstitutional and would have a chilling effect on free speech. In the wake of that warning, and a subsequent article by The Intercept, co-sponsors of the bill have begun to re-examine their support for it.

Cardin said that the ACLU had misinterpreted his legislation, but if it needed to be clarified, he would take the steps to do so. “A lot of the co-sponsors are pretty strongly committed to the freedom of speech,” Cardin said. “We’re certainly sensitive to the issues they raise. If we have to make it clearer, we’ll make it clearer…”

One issue of contention is whether criminal penalties such as a 20-year prison sentence would apply to those who violate the law…

On Monday night, in an op-ed in the Washington Post, two top officials at the ACLU stood by their legal interpretation. “Violations would be punishable by civil and criminal penalties of up to $1 million and 20 years in prison,” write David Cole and Faiz Shakir, the ACLU’s legal and political directors, respectively…

“We thought we only dealt with civil penalties, not criminal penalties,” Cardin told The Intercept…   If the bill were amended to clarify that no criminal penalties could be applied, violators would still face a $250,000 civil fine or more...

Co-sponsors of the bill have faced pressure at home to explain support for a bill with such language in it. Rep. Joe Kennedy III, D-Mass., is reviewing the bill in the light of the ACLU’s concerns, as are Democratic Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Maria Cantwell of Washington, Ron Wyden of Oregon, Claire McCaskill of Missouri, and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut.

Well isn’t that special, our unregistered foreign agents in congress didn’t understand what was in the AIPAC written bill before they passed it.  The tragic part of this is that it’s not just Israel, they put the interests of other nations before America all the time.  You might say that our congress is for sale to the highest bidder.

After accepting lavish gifts and trips, congress has stripped our public schools of funds to endow Turkish terrorist Fathullah Gülen with H1B visas to man his American taxpayer funded charter schools across America. ~~ Down the Rabbit Hole 

When reading about the AIPAC all-expenses paid trip to Israel that members of congress are taking on their August vacation it brought to mind another foreign based group that paid for all-expenses paid trips that resulted in a deluge of H1B visas in return for the perks. From USA Today:

Turkish faith movement secretly funded 200 trips for lawmakers and staff

A Turkish religious movement has secretly funded as many as 200 trips to Turkey for members of Congress and staff since 2008, apparently repeatedly violating House rules and possibly federal law, a USA TODAY investigation has found.

The group — a worldwide moderate Islamic movement led by a religious scholar named Fethullah Gülen…  A dozen different Gülen groups have sponsored congressional travel since 2008 and have filed forms with the House certifying that they were paying for the trips. The House Ethics Committee approved all the trips in advance based on the forms the Gülen groups submitted…

Congressional disclosures show the Gülen-backed trips totaled more than $800,000 in free travel for lawmakers and staff. That number likely underestimates the costs since many of the in-country expenses were not reported…

One Gülen group, the Texas-based Turquoise Council of Americans and Eurasians, sponsored trips for three lawmakers and seven staff members in 2011, filing disclosures claiming it was the sole sponsor of the trips at a total cost of about $54,000. But the same organization filed an IRS tax form that year claiming it spent only $33,000 on travel with no expenditures for the travel of public officials.

In August 2013, Rep. Mike Honda, D-Calif., took an eight-day trip to Turkey sponsored by the Pacifica Institute, which claimed on congressional disclosure forms to be an IRS-recognized non-profit covering the $5,700 cost of the trip. But the IRS has no record of Pacifica being a recognized non-profit…

The House Office of Congressional Ethics issued a report earlier this month finding that BAKIAD had secretly funded the Turkish leg of a trip to Azerbaijan taken by 10 members of Congress and 32 staff…

In June 2012, a Gülen organization called the Istanbul Center sponsored a nine-day, four-city Turkish visit for Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala., his wife, Martha, and four staff members for a total of about $23,000…

USA TODAY identified 214 congressional trips sponsored by Gülen organizations that appear to be improperly disclosed…

And the movement has clearly benefited from making friends in Congress.

In February 2015, Rep. Matt Salmon, R-Ariz., organized colleagues to send a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry seeking his help in defending Gülenist journalists who had been arrested by the Turkish government as part of the battle between Gülen and Erdogan…

Salmon had taken a Gülen-funded trip to Turkey in 2014; Honda, Brooks and five other lawmakers who had taken Gülen-funded trips also signed the letter, as did 23 members who had approved Gülen-backed trips for their staff…

My, my.  Yes, our unregistered foreign agents in our government, do not abide by any of the laws they pass.  And, while the movement benefitted from their bribes in getting congress to intervene with the Secretary of State on Gulen’s behalf, that is just a drop in the bucket of what Gulen received from congress.  From Center for Immigration Studies.

Off in a small corner of the immigration policy world there is an intriguing side-show – it is a battle which pits one group of conservatives against another in a fascinating contest that the mainstream media has all but ignored.

In one corner there is a player as reactionary as they come, the Islamic president/dictator of Turkey; in the other is a conservative Islamic religious leader, another Turk, and his allies in the American charter school movement…

Gulen's followers in the U.S. have created a series of charter schools which use public school moneys, via staff extortions, to support the cult's activities. The Gulen schools, which have also used political contributions to shore up their position, are charters, and, as such, are sheltered by conservatives promoting charters generally…

In spite of the presence of tens, perhaps hundreds, of thousands of unemployed U.S.-trained teachers, Gulen's schools continue to use local tax funds to secure H-1B visas for, and to provide wages for, teachers from Turkey, including in a few cases English teachers, as we have reported previously.

Why are the Gulen schools so interested in recruiting Turkish teachers (and often paying them more than U.S. teachers in the same schools)? To some extent it is a Tammany Hall sort of nepotism – let's use public funds to help our landsmen – but there is another apparent motive. According to a long, detailed, and stinging report by LA Weekly, there is a highly organized, systematic shake-down of Turkish teachers to benefit Gulen cult organizations…

Here you have members of congress engorging Fathullah Gulen with H1B visas to supply teachers from Turkey to teach in his American taxpayer funded charter schools.  While thousands of American teachers are unemployed, the Turkish teachers are paid more than American teachers because they have to pay a kickbacks to Gulen to fund his cult organizations with American taxpayer dollars.

Congress, in their furor to remove Donald Trump from office planned to charge Donald Jr. and Paul Manafort for being in violation of the Foreign Agent Registration Act.  What a joke.  But this is all connected because Donald Trump along with General Flynn were about to shut down the Gulen gravy train.

All of this may be about to change because of one of President-elect Trump's appointments. According to the Daily Caller:

An intelligence consulting firm founded by retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, Donald Trump's top military adviser, was recently hired as a lobbyist by an obscure Dutch company with ties to Turkey's government and its president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Further, we know that President Erdogan has joined Donald Trump at one or more hotel opening ceremonies in Turkey; this was well before the presidential campaign. So Gen. Flynn, who is known to be opposed to Gulen, and who is soon to be the National Security Adviser to the President, might well let it be known in government circles that he has no opposition at all to Gulen school administrators being indicted.

That, combined with the wealth of evidence on these schools' finances, might just change matters.

Well, well, well.  Now we know why General Flynn had to go.  Not only was he a threat to the Gulen terror network, he was a threat to the unregistered foreign agents in our government who seek to destroy the American people while they enrich themselves.

North Korea threat a fake news creation by CIA’s Washington Post just like the Russia Hack

The current hysteria over North Korea’s nuclear weapons program began with a Washington Post article that was quickly picked up by CNN and other news agencies and disseminated as fact throughout the media. Just as the “Russia hacked the election story,” it is fake news.  The CIA through anonymous sources feeds the story to the WaPo who prints the story and the print media and broadcast media echo chamber repeats the claims ad nauseam.  From The Hill:

The assessment from the Defense Intelligence Agency, reported Tuesday by The Washington Post, puts Pyongyang closer than ever before to becoming a full-fledged nuclear power capable of striking the United States with a nuclear weapon, something it has often threatened to do.

The Washington Post is always the leader in spreading propaganda that is given to them by unnamed intelligence officials.  They are the go-to fake news conduit for the CIA.  This was exposed by Zero Hedge in December of last year.

According to an unsubstantiated article by the Washington Post, anonymous CIA officials have confirmed that the Russian government hacked the United States election to favor Donald Trump. Though it’s entirely possible the Russian government attempted to influence the election, the Post has been widely criticized — for the second time in a month — for its failure to follow basic journalistic practices. Nevertheless, the narrative is sticking.

But the outlet’s behind-the-scenes relationship with the CIA is nothing new. In 2013, a conflict of interest arose shortly after Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon, purchased the newspaper. As the Nation reported at the time:

“[Jeff Bezos] recently secured a $600 million contract from the CIA. That’s at least twice what Bezos paid for the Post this year. Bezos recently disclosed that the company’s Web-services business is building a ‘private cloud’ for the CIA to use for its data needs...”

“If some official enemy of the United States had a comparable situation—say the owner of the dominant newspaper in Caracas was getting $600 million in secretive contracts from the Maduro government—the Post itself would lead the howling chorus impaling that newspaper and that government for making a mockery of a free press. It is time for the Post to take a dose of its own medicine…”

Regardless, the Post continues to treat anonymous statements from the agency as fact, leading the way as countless other mainstream outlets parrot their narrative.

My, my, my.  America is 20 trillion in debt and yet the CIA hands over a half billion dollars to billionaire Jeff Bezos for being their megaphone.  Then congress appropriates trillions into the defense budget to fight the current “threat” ginned up by WaPo.   How much of the trillion dollar defense budget goes to billionaires like Jeff Bezos? 

The U.S. media derides Russia Today as a Putin mouthpiece, while our media is so corrupt that they mindlessly repeat whatever propaganda the Post’s stenographers lay at their feet.  Even NBC’s fawning Brian Williams admits the North Korea story is bullsh*t designed to terrify the public.

In response to Williams’ unexpected and very revealing comment, Mitchell appeared to shake her head, though it’s unclear if she was approving or disapproving of what he actually said – there was no push back by the panelists or attempt to seek clarification on Williams’ words.

The WaPo is playing a very dangerous game here, they are not dealing with a Deep State president who knows the drill and will respond predictably.  They are dealing with President Donald Trump who takes their bullsh*t literally.  This “no nonsense” president will act on the “intelligence” that North Korea is seconds away from nuking the U.S.

Its objective was not to kneel before the Tsar of Russia, as the Washingtonian political class purport, but to put an end to the use of terrorism, as Donald Trump had declared during his electoral campaign.

The lying insinuations of the Washington Post were adopted by the whole of the Western Press. Perhaps this is due to the gregarious spirit of Western journalists, but perhaps - more probably – it demonstrates that the major medias are owned by the partisans of war in the Middle East and against Russia.

The Bulgarian revelations about the existence of a vast arms trafic (sic) set up by General David Petraeus when he was still Director of the CIA, in 2012, and continued by him from his offices at the financial investment fund KKR, leave one stunned at the power of these war-makers…

Of course, this gigantic traffic, without precedent in History in terms of its volume, will lead to no legal action, neither in the states concerned, nor on the international stage…

In any case, the difficulties encountered by Donald Trump in imposing his will on the CIA and the Pentagon, as well as the existence of this parallel half-public, half-private network, enable us to note the complexity of his task in a world order subverted by private interests.

The WaPo’s hyped hysteria over the North Korea lies of mini-nukes could have horrific consequences.  Donald Trump’s threat to ‘Lil Kim’ of “best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen” was supposed to scare North Korea.  But funny thing, Trump’s threats are scaring everyone but North Korea.  The WaPo’s lies have back fired and now the whole world is on edge and the only thing that can save us is if the intelligence agencies admit they are lying.  Stand by to see how this fabricated fiasco ends.

Who’s your daddy? Deep State’s Mueller convenes a Kangaroo Court in Trump Russia Witch Hunt

President John F. Kennedy said, "Victory has a thousand fathers, but defeat is an orphan" one could say that the Russia scandal has a thousand fathers and truth is an orphan.  The investigation into collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia is beginning to look like a Russian nesting doll and when the last doll is opened there will be nothing there.  But that does not stop the Deep State witch hunt against Donald Trump.  The latest revelation to rear its ugly head is a research firm called Fusion GPS.  Fusion GPS helped prepare the fake Russian dossier.  From the Wall Street Journal:

Who Paid for the ‘Trump Dossier’?

It has been 10 days since Democrats received the glorious news that Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley would require Donald Trump Jr. and Paul Manafort to explain their meeting with Russian operators at Trump Tower last year. The left was salivating at the prospect of watching two Trump insiders being grilled about Russian “collusion” under the klieg lights.

Yet Democrats now have meekly and noiselessly retreated, agreeing to let both men speak to the committee in private. Why would they so suddenly be willing to let go of this moment of political opportunity?

Fusion GPS. That’s the oppo-research outfit behind the infamous and discredited “Trump dossier,” ginned up by a former British spook. Fusion co-founder Glenn Simpson also was supposed to testify at the Grassley hearing, where he might have been asked in public to reveal who hired him to put together the hit job on Mr. Trump, which was based largely on anonymous Russian sources. Turns out Democrats are willing to give up just about anything—including their Manafort moment—to protect Mr. Simpson from having to answer that question…

Mr. Grassley’s call for testimony has uncovered more such stories… William Browder, a banker who has worked to expose Mr. Putin’s crimes, testified to the Grassley committee on Thursday that he was the target of a similar campaign, saying that Fusion “spread false information” about him and his efforts. Fusion has admitted it was hired by a law firm representing a Russian company called Prevezon… 

We know that at the exact time Fusion was working with the Russians, the firm had also hired a former British spy, Christopher Steele, to dig up dirt on Mr. Trump. Mr. Steele compiled his material, according to his memos, based on allegations from unnamed Kremlin insiders and other Russians.

We know that Mr. Simpson is tight with Democrats. His current attorney, Joshua Levy, used to work in Congress as counsel to no less than Chuck Schumer. We know from a Grassley letter that Fusion has in the past sheltered its clients’ true identities by filtering money through law firms or shell companies (Bean LLC and Kernel LLC).

Word is Mr. Simpson has made clear he will appear for a voluntary committee interview only if he is not specifically asked who hired him to dig dirt on Mr. Trump. Democrats are going to the mat for him over that demand. Those on the Judiciary Committee pointedly did not sign letters in which Mr. Grassley demanded that Fusion reveal who hired it…

If Special Counsel Robert Mueller, Democrats and the media really want answers about Russian meddling, this is a far deeper well than the so-far scant case against Mr. Trump. If they refuse to dive into the story, we’ll know that the truth about Russia and the election was never what they were after.

Hedge fund manager Bill Browder once ran one of the largest investment firms in Russia.

His Hermitage Capital Management Fund was forced to cease operations in the country because of judicial action against him in London, along with legal proceedings, convicting in absentia of massive tax evasion in Moscow.  After operating in the country since 2006, Russian authorities blacklisted him last year as a “threat to national security.”

Initially a Putin supporter, he turned hostile over what happened, becoming a strong critic, spreading disinformation and Big Lies about the country and its leader.  In media and other public appearances, he relentlessly calls for tough sanctions on Russia, claiming the Kremlin wants to kill him, a fabricated accusation like all others about Russia.

He’s a unlikely figure in witch-hunt investigations into nonexistent Russian US election hacking. 

In prepared testimony last week before Senate Judiciary Committee members, he lied claiming Putin extorted large sums from Russian oligarchs, becoming “the richest man in the world” worth around “$200 billion (from) ill-gotten gains,” a fabricated charge, wanting revenge for revelations about his own criminal activities.

Browder: “There are approximately 10,000 officials in Russia working for Putin who are given instructions to kill, torture, kidnap, extort money from people and seize their property.”  “(Putin) keeps his money in the West and all of his money…is potentially exposed to asset freezes and confiscation.”

Fact: Browder presented no evidence backing his claims. None exists, his accusations as baseless as “Russian aggression” and US election hacking.  Claiming he’s campaigning for justice and exposure of corruption conceals his real agenda, serving his own interests by irresponsibly spreading disinformation and Big Lies about Russia and Putin.

“I’ve received many death threats from Russia,” he blustered, claiming the “most notableone came from Prime Minster Dmitry Medvedev.  Russia wants him held accountable for involvement in massive tax fraud.  He’s a fraudster like numerous Wall Street operatives, protected by US authorities because of his vocal Russia bashing, serving as a reliable imperial agent.

This is according to the FBI report. What they find is, first of all you have to know some basic facts, one of the basic facts is there is no DNC or protected email that exists beyond May 22nd, the last email from either one of those groups. So, what the report says, is:

He also let people know with whom he was dealing…  according to the FBI report, he shared his box with a couple of friends, so ‘If anything happens to me, it’s not going to solve your problem’, okay? I don’t know what that means. But, anyway, Wikileaks got access. And, before he was killed, I can tell you right now, [Obama’s CIA Director John] Brennan’s an asshole.

So in the Spring of 2016 the FBI knows that the Russia-gate story is a lie planted by Brennan’s CIA and who was the Director of the FBI?  Why none other than James Comey.  And remember, according to the Washington Post:  “Fired FBI Director James B. Comey orchestrated the leak of details from memos of his conversations with President Trump, he admitted to Congress on Thursday, saying he had hoped it would spur the Justice Department to announce an independent prosecutor to probe the Trump operation.” 

So Mueller knows that the Russia collusion charges are CIA lies begun by Director Brennan and Mueller knows because his buddy James Comey leaked his memos of his private conversations with Trump in order to ensure Mueller will be named Special Prosecutor.  Comey’s actions were on behalf of the Deep State.  This is the real story.  And guess what The Hill is reporting, just as Seymour Hersh’s explosive Exposé broke.

Mueller impanels grand jury in Russia probe: report

Special counsel Robert Mueller has reportedly impaneled a grand jury in Washington as part of the ongoing investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.  Such a move would signal that the investigation is growing and entering a new phase. The special counsel is looking into Russia's efforts to influence the election and any ties between President Trump's campaign and Moscow…

The grand jury, located in Washington, D.C., follows a separate grand jury previously convened in Alexandria, Va., by federal prosecutors investigating former national security adviser Michael Flynn.  “Former FBI Director Jim Comey said three times the president is not under investigation and we have no reason to believe that has changed,” said White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders when asked about the grand jury.

The news follows efforts from some in Congress to protect Mueller from Trump and his administration’s ability to fire him.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Cory Booker (D-N.J.) introduced a bill on Monday that would require the Justice Department to seek a request from a federal judge before firing Mueller or any other special counsel…

"Our bill allows judicial review of any decision to terminate a special counsel to make sure it’s done for the reasons cited in the regulation rather than political motivation. I think this will serve the country well," Graham said in a statement.  Booker added that special counsel should never be subjected to "interference or intimidation because of where an investigation takes them…"

Trump has ratcheted up attacks on Mueller as the investigation proceeds. In an interview with The New York Times in July, Trump warned Mueller against investigating his family’s finances.   “I think that’s a violation. Look, this is about Russia,” Trump told The Times.

Trump also argued that Mueller has hired “Hillary Clinton supporters” and is good friends with  Comey, who Trump fired in early May. Comey had been leading the FBI investigation into Russian election interference and Trump campaign ties with Moscow before Mueller.

“Well he’s very, very good friends with Comey. Which is very bothersome,” Trump told Fox News. “We’re going to have to see. But there has been no obstruction, there has been no collusion. There has been leaking by Comey. And virtually everyone agrees on that.

“The people who have been hired are all Hillary Clinton supporters,” he said. “Some of them worked for Hillary Clinton. I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous if you want to know the truth from that standpoint."

The Russia collusion is a faux witch hunt with a thousand fathers, while the truth is orphaned by our Deep State intelligence agencies.  Now they have convened a Kangaroo Court to put lipstick on the pig.  We will stand with our president against the corrupt Deep State so bring it on, the Truth shall overcome.

Mr. President abandon the duopoly’s 60 years of failed drug policy and fire AG Sessions

President Trump ran as a populist during the 2016 campaign and promised to restore greatness to America.  President Trump ran on a populist agenda, much like that of FDR and JFK while Hillary Clinton ran on an agenda of the status quo.  The American people rejected the status quo in 2016 and now the status quo is attempting to force their antiquated agenda on Trump. 

The War on Drugs was the brainchild of the duopoly and the result has been the birth of drug cartels, the poppy wars in Afghanistan, the current opioid epidemic and must be ended.  It’s time for the duopoly to get out of the way and let Trump advance America into the 21^st Century.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is not on the Trump Train, he is running on a parallel track of the failed drug policies of the past 60 years.  America has evolved and recognizes the medicinal miracle that is cannabis.  The duopoly has refused to evolve and wants to continue the failed policies of the past 60 years, not because they believe it will now work, but because there’s too much money in it.   

After trying every trick in the failed GOP playbook to derail Trump during the 2016 election the GOP decided to infest the Trump Administration with the same old stale members of the GOP and try to force Trump to board their antiquated, chugging, smoke spewing coal train.  Now the Chris Christie-led “Opioid Commission” has released their state-of-the-art answer to tackling the big Pharma and War on Drugs created opioid crisis. White House opioid commission to Trump: ‘Declare a national emergency’ on drug overdoses

The President's Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis issued a preliminary report on Monday stating that its “first and most urgent recommendation” is for the president to “declare a national emergency under either the Public Health Service Act or the Stafford Act...” 

The commission, led by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, states that the goals of such a declaration would be to “force Congress to focus on funding” and to “awaken every American to this simple fact: if this scourge has not found you or your family yet, without bold action by everyone, it soon will…”

In 2015, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention figures, heroin deaths alone surpassed gun homicides for the first time. More than 33,000 people died of opioid overdose, with another 20,000 dying from other drugs. A recent federal study found that prescription painkillers are now more widely used than tobacco.

Prescription overdose deaths began to rise in the mid-2000, following aggressive marketing and widespread prescribing of the drugs starting in the late 1990s. In response, state and federal authorities began cracking down on prescription opiate availability, introducing “abuse-deterrent” formulations, tighter prescribing guidelines and operations targeting “pill mills” that made the drugs widely available…

But in response to these interventions, many painkiller abusers appear to have switched to illicit street drugs. As prescription painkiller deaths started to fall, heroin overdoses increased dramatically. The latest development has been the emergence of powerful synthetic opiates like fentanyl, which are sometimes mixed with heroin with fatal consequences for unsuspecting users.

Let me get this straight, today’s crisis was the result of prescription drug overdoses which began in the late 1999’s with big Pharma’s “aggressive marketing and widespread prescribing of the drugs” which led to an increase in the deaths of patients from overdoses.  Congress, in order to stop the prescription drug deaths, went after the doctors who prescribe the drugs rather than after big Pharma who produced and marketed the drugs.

Instead of prohibiting big Pharma from advertising opioids like they prohibited big tobacco from advertising, they criminalized prescribing opioids which drove law abiding addicted citizens into the streets to buy opioids.  So what is the recommendation from the commission?  From The Atlantic:

They recommend changes to law enforcement, such as arming all police officers with naloxone, a medication that reverses opioid overdoses, and improving the detection of fentanyl at the border.

Because most heroin addicts start with prescription painkillers, they recommend improving training on painkiller prescribing for doctors and forcing state prescription-tracking programs to share their information by July 2018.

Finally, the report urges the closing of several loopholes around medication-assisted recovery treatment for addicts.

The report recommends that states be granted waivers to allow federal Medicaid funds to reimburse treatment in facilities with more than 16 beds, and that all treatment facilities offer medication-assisted treatment, such as buprenorphine. Some providers believe these drugs don’t constitute true recovery or sobriety…

Regulators, they write, should fine health plans that violate mental-health parity laws, meaning they illegally restrict mental-health or addiction benefits to a greater degree than physical health benefits. Finally, the commission suggests relaxing medical privacy laws so that the families of addicted patients can get updates on their relative’s medical status.

Really, that’s it?  Seems to me the commission is recommending the status quo, money and drugs.  But what do you expect from the same old failed duopoly policies.  Why not try something new?  From Motley Fool:

The FDA took an unprecedented step Thursday in an attempt to curb America's opioid abuse crisis, but that doesn't mean medical cannabis will be more seriously considered as an alternative to the highly addictive and deadly drugs…

On Thursday, the Food and Drug Administration took an unprecedented step in an attempt to finally stem that lethal and expensive tide. Specifically, the FDA requested that Endo Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ENDP) voluntarily remove its opioid pain medication, reformulated Opana ER (oxymorphone hydrochloride), from the market. If Endo refuses this request, the FDA plans to withdraw the drug's approval.

This hard line stance comes after a review of Opana ER's post-marketing data that revealed a shift from nasal to injected routes of abuse after the drug's reformulation. As an added kick in the pants, this uptick in injection abuse was also tied to a serious outbreak of HIV and hepatitis C infections among users, according to the agency.

As Opana ER provided about 4% of Endo's annual revenues last year, the drugmaker's shares dropped by as much as 13% in afterhours trading on the back of this news. But the arguably more pressing issue is the FDA's questionable decision to go as far as removing an approved pain medicine from the market due to its wholly unintended use by some patients -- especially since there is no clear-cut replacement for individuals who suffer from chronic pain that doesn't respond to other medications.

Where available, medical cannabis is already being used to treat a variety of conditions, including chronic pain. Most importantly, though, a recent study found that medical cannabis use was associated with a jaw-dropping 64% decrease in opioid use, a sizable decrease in unwanted side effects stemming from prescription painkillers, as well as a healthy uptick in quality of life among the study's participants. The researchers also noted that patients were essentially substituting cannabis for their prescribed opioid-based drugs in large numbers.

Do you really think that a commission headed up by Chris Christie is seriously looking for answers to the opioid crisis?  This is the New Jersey Governor who told his constituent he would let his toddler daughter die from deathly seizures rather than sign a bill that legalized medical marijuana.

Rolling back protections from federal interference in state legalization laws could worsen the opioid overdose crisis

Amid a drug crisis that kills 91 people in the U.S. each day, Attorney General Jeff Sessions has asked Congress to help roll back protections that have shielded medical marijuana dispensaries from federal prosecutors since 2014, according to a letter made public this week.

Those legal controls—which bar Sessions’ Justice Department from funding crackdowns on the medical cannabis programs legalized by 29 states and Washington, D.C.—jeopardize the DoJ’s ability to combat the country’s “historic drug epidemic” and control dangerous drug traffickers, the attorney general wrote in the letter sent to lawmakers.

The catch, however, is that this epidemic is one of addiction and overdose deaths fueled by opioids—heroin, fentanyl and prescription painkillers—not marijuana. In fact, places where the U.S. has legalized medical marijuana have lower rates of opioid overdose deaths.

A review of the scientific literature indicates marijuana is far less addictive than prescription painkillers. A 2016 survey from University of Michigan researchers, published in the The Journal of Pain, found that chronic pain suffers who used cannabis reported a 64 percent drop in opioid use as well as fewer negative side effects and a better quality of life than they experienced under opioids.

In a 2014 study reported in JAMA The Journal of the American Medical Association, the authors found that annual opioid overdose deaths were about 25 percent lower on average in states that allowed medical cannabis compared with those that did not…

Session’s congressional letter, which was dated May 1, was obtained by Massroots.com and also confirmed and reported by The Washington Post on Tuesday. The letter urges lawmakers to remove the legal impediment that keeps his office from spending cash on interfering with state medical marijuana programs, a safeguard for dispensaries formally called the Rohrabacher–Farr Amendment. 

That provision expires at the end of September, and would have to be renewed to remain the law of the land—a timeline that guarantees medical marijuana will be discussed in Congress in the coming months.

Mr. President, AG Jeff Sessions is a danger to America and a danger to your agenda.  Mr. President you ran on a populist agenda and told the American people you would help fight the opioid epidemic you never ran on resurrecting the War on Drugs.  We believed you.  Kraig Moss, the father of a boy who died of an opioid overdose sold everything he had to get you elected believed you.

Mr. President, leave the GOP and start a “Drain the Swamp Party” before the 2018 midterm election

America needs a new party that is completely divorced from the duopoly that has waged a chemical and financial war against the American people.  Through the duopoly’s complete control over the electoral process they have made it impossible for a viable third party to offer real change in America.  The president is supposed to be the head of the party and yet the GOP congress is frantically working to stymie President Trump’s agenda.  It is time to really drain the swamp with a new third party dedicated to that purpose.

Russia Sanctions Bill Based On Numerous Frauds

July 28, 2017 (EIRNS)—The Russian sanctions section of the Iran-Russia-North Korea sanctions bill, H.R.3364, which the U.S. Senate gave its final approval to by a vote of 98-2 yesterday and sent to the White House, is a full-scale assault on Trump, openly putting nearly the entire Congress on the record as backers of the of the fake Russia-gate (proven false by the VIPS report), and willing to back the ongoing coup by the British assets in the press, the intelligence community, and Wall Street.

The bill is based on numerous frauds, among them, the assertion that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election. It cites in the findings section the Jan. 6, 2017 intelligence "assessment"—the one that was presented as a consensus of the intelligence community as a whole but turned out to have been composed by a hand picked group of analysts from only three of the 17 intelligence agencies—that claimed that "Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the United States presidential election…"

With respect to congressional review, the bill provides that if the president wishes to lift sanctions—in the language of the bill, actions that either significantly alter or don’t alter U.S. foreign policy—he must submit a report to the Congress which will then be the subject of hearings in the relevant committees, and then a resolution of disapproval or approval "may" be originated in either house, subject to limited debate and then presidential approval or veto. It appears that there’s no requirement on the part of the Congress to even respond with a resolution, if it chooses not to, and therefore, if the Congress doesn’t act, the president can’t do anything.

Basically the Russia sanctions bill awards congress powers that supersede that of the Executive.  Drain the swamp, President Trump.  For the 2018 midterm election start a “Drain the Swamp Party” to run against the Democrats and Republicans.  But the Senate wasn’t finished with their dirty deeds and undermining President Trump.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions in collusion with congress recused himself from the faux Russian meddling in the US presidential election investigation.  In doing so he opened the door for the deeply corrupt Justice Department political appointees to name a Special Investigator with unlimited powers to delve into every nook and cranny of Donald Trump’s entire life and the lives of anyone he or his family has ever had contact with.

Senate GOP steps up defense of Sessions

Senate Republicans are getting more aggressive in fighting back at President Trump’s attacks on Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) says there will be “hell to pay” if Sessions is fired, while Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, warned he won’t hold hearings to confirm a successor to Sessions…

Senate Republicans also quickly slammed the door on the possibility that Trump could use recess appointment powers to get around Grassley.  “I don’t think it’s going to happen,” said Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), a member of the Judiciary Committee, who said Republicans will hold pro-forma sessions every few days to block Trump from making recess appointments.  “If we have to stay in session to protect Sessions, we’d do so,” he said…

If the chamber convenes every few days — even for a few minutes — then it is not, technically, on recess and, therefore, the president cannot make recess appointments…

The use of pro forma sessions to block recess appointments isn’t unusual…  What’s unusual here, is that Republicans are vowing to use the tactic to thwart a president from their own party.

Republicans are acting partly out of friendship to Sessions but also out of concern that Trump may be laying the groundwork to fire Robert Mueller, the special counsel who is leading the investigation of possible collusion between Russian agents and Trump’s inner circle of family and advisers…

Graham warned that such a move could provoke a constitutional crisis.  He is working on legislation would require judicial review of any presidential decision to fire a special counsel to determine whether it complied with the law.  He predicted it would have a large number of Republican and Democratic co-sponsors.

“Any effort to go after Mueller could be beginning of the end of the Trump presidency unless Mueller did something wrong. Right now I have no reason to believe Mueller is compromised,” Graham warned.

That is the same route taken by Awan’s wife, Hina Alvi, in March, when she suddenly fled the country, with three young daughters she yanked out of school, mega-luggage, and $12,400 in cash. By then, the proceeds of the fraudulent $165,000 loan they’d gotten from the Congressional Federal Credit Union had been sent ahead. It was part of a $283,000 transfer that Awan managed to wire from Capitol Hill. He pulled it off — hilariously, if infuriatingly — by pretending to be his wife in a phone call with the credit union.

Told that his proffered reason for the transfer (“funeral arrangements”) wouldn’t fly, “Mrs.” Awan promptly repurposed: Now “she” was “buying property.” Asking no more questions, the credit union wired the money . . . to Pakistan. As you let all that sink in, consider this: Awan and his family cabal of fraudsters had access for years to the e-mails and other electronic files of members of the House’s Intelligence and Foreign Affairs Committees.

It turns out they were accessing members’ computers without their knowledge, transferring files to remote servers, and stealing computer equipment — including hard drives that Awan & Co. smashed to bits of bytes before making tracks.  They were fired in February. All except Awan, that is. He continued in the employ of Wasserman Schultz, the Florida Democrat, former DNC chairwoman, and Clinton crony…

This is not about bank fraud. The Awan family swindles are plentiful, but they are just window-dressing. This appears to be a real conspiracy, aimed at undermining American national security. At the time of his arrest, the 37-year-old Imran Awan had been working for Democrats as an information technologist for 13 years…

Congressional-staff salaries are modest, in the $40,000 range. For some reason, Awan was paid about four times as much. He also managed to get his wife, Alvi, on the House payroll . . . then his brother, Abid Awan . . . then Abid’s wife, Natalia Sova. The youngest of the clan, Awan’s brother Jamal, came on board in 2014 — the then-20-year-old commanding an annual salary of $160,000…   for their IT “work,” the Pakistani family has reeled in $4 million from U.S. taxpayers since 2009.

That’s just the “legit” dough. The family business evidently dabbles in procurement fraud, too. The Capitol Police and FBI are exploring widespread double-billing for computers, other communication devices, and related equipment…

The Daily Caller has also discovered that the family, which controlled several properties, was involved in various suspicious mortgage transfers. Abid Awan, while working “full-time” in Congress, ran a curious auto-retail business called “Cars International A” (yes, CIA), through which he was accused of stealing money and merchandise…

In civil lawsuits, they are accused of life-insurance fraud…  Democrats now say that any access to sensitive information was “unauthorized.” But how hard could it have been to get “unauthorized” access when House Intelligence Committee Dems wanted their staffers to have unbounded access?...

They started arranging the fraudulent credit-union loan in December, and the $283,000 wire transfer occurred on January 18. In early February, House security services informed representatives that the Awans were suspects in a criminal investigation. At some point, investigators found stolen equipment stashed in the Rayburn House Office Building, including a laptop that appears to belong to Wasserman Schultz and that Imran was using.

Although the Awans were banned from the Capitol computer network, not only did Wasserman Schultz keep Imran on staff for several additional months, but Meeks retained Alvi until February 28 — five days before she skedaddled to Lahore. Strange thing about that: On March 5, the FBI (along with the Capitol Police) got to Dulles Airport in time to stop Alvi before she embarked. It was discovered that she was carrying $12,400 in cash. As I pointed out this week, it is a felony to export more than $10,000 in currency from the U.S. without filing a currency transportation report.

It seems certain that Alvi did not file one: In connection with her husband’s arrest this week, the FBI submitted to the court a complaint affidavit that describes Alvi’s flight but makes no mention of a currency transportation report. Yet far from making an arrest, agents permitted her to board the plane and leave the country, notwithstanding their stated belief that she has no intention of returning…

Did the swindling staffers compromise members of Congress? Does blackmail explain why were they able to go unscathed for so long? And as for that sensitive information, did the Awans send American secrets, along with those hundreds of thousands of American dollars, to Pakistan? This is no run-of-the-mill bank-fraud case.

Drain the swamp, Mr. President.  Leave the GOP and start your own party in time for the 2018 midterm election.  Mr. President you were elected by disaffected Democrats, Republicans and Independents.  We the people rejected both parties in 2016 and chose you to turn this Titanic around.  The two parties have defied the will of the people and used our intelligence agencies to usurp power from the president.  From Information ClearingHouse:

Trump Faces Down the CIA and Co-Opts the Pentagon on Syria

“Donald Trump has taken the strangest, messiest route imaginable towards fulfilling his campaign pledge to curtail Washington’s urge to regime change, and to ease tensions with Russia.”

It is also likely that Trump’s gaggle of White House generals, led by Secretary of Defense James “Mad Dog” Mattis and national security advisor H.R. McMaster, have kept the Pentagon in check, preventing a reprise of the mutiny that sabotaged President Obama’s cease-fire and intelligence-sharing agreement with Russian forces in Syria, on September 17 of last year. In a blatant rebellion against civilian authority, U.S. warplanes killed 100 Syrian soldiers at Deir Ez-Zor, allowing ISIS to overrun half the city.

The next week, with Secretary of Defense Ash Carter at his side, Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Gen. Joseph Dunford told the Senate Armed Services Committee, “The U.S. military role will not include intelligence sharing with the Russians." The Pentagon had “punked” lame duck President Barack Obama and his secretary of state, John Kerry.

Donald Trump took note, and surrounded himself with generals before setting foot in the White House, perhaps to shield his presidency from falling prey to its own “Seven Days In May”-type scenario… 

Trump this summer defied the War Party and its corporate media mouthpieces, negotiating a cease-fire with the Russians in several regions of Syria, to be followed by additional truces, and ending the CIA’s not-so-covert role as Grandmaster of Islamic Jihad. It seemed...unreal…

The demons at the Washington Post and the New York Times have only one explanation for all earthly phenomena, including the termination of the CIA’s jihadist overseer duties in Syria: Trump is “colluding” with the Russians. The Times moaned that “the decision is bound to be welcomed by the Russians.”  The WP whined that “the Russian government had long opposed the program, seeing it as an assault on its interests.”

Neither paper is concerned that the CIA project violates international laws against unprovoked attacks on sovereign nations, as well as U.S. laws against giving material assistance to al Qaida, a prime beneficiary of CIA weapons, or that half a million Syrians have died, as a result.

Despite his apparent vow of semi-silence on the CIA front, Trump could not resist a Twitter retort. “The Amazon Washington Post fabricated the facts on my ending massive, dangerous, and wasteful payments to Syrian rebels fighting Assad,” he wrote, effectively declassifying the now-defunct (are we sure?) CIA terror campaign.

Drain the swamp Mr. President.  The two parties have morphed into one War Party with the goal of removing you from office.  Drain the swamp, leave the GOP and form a “Drain the Swamp Party”.  We will stand with you Mr. President, drain the swamp.  Take your fight to the American people, announce that you are starting a “Drain the Swamp Party” and appoint an independent staff to organize it before the 2018 election.    We have your back Mr. President, drain the swamp.
