Putin the Great?

I don’t know if it’s the incompetence and lack of foreign policy by the Obama/Bush Administrations, but Vladimir Putin always comes out on top.  The U.S. has constantly tried to undermine Putin but the ex-KGB officer out maneuvers the U.S. President on every issue.

Who is Putin?  According to Wikipedia:

Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, born 7 October 1952 has been the President of Russia since 7 May 2012. He previously served as President from 2000 to 2008, and as Prime Minister of Russia from 1999 to 2000 and again from 2008 to 2012. During that last term as Prime Minister, he was also the Chairman of the United Russia political party…

Dmitry Medvedev won the 2008 presidential election and appointed Putin as Prime Minister, beginning a period of so-called "tandemocracy".[1] In September 2011, following a change in the law extending the presidential term from four years to six, Putin announced that he would seek a third, non-consecutive term as President in the 2012 presidential election, an announcement which led to large-scale protests in many Russian cities. He won the election in March 2012 and is serving a six-year term.

So Putin moved up the Russian ladder slowly and methodically.  But what I found most interesting about Putin is the condition of his country under his tutelage.  He served as president from 2000 to 2008, the same period of time that George W. Bush was President of the United States.

During Putin's first premiership and presidency (1999–2008), real incomes increased by a factor of 2.5, real wages more than tripled; unemployment and poverty more than halved, and the Russians' self-assessed life satisfaction rose significantly. Putin's first presidency was marked by high economic growth: the Russian economy grew for eight straight years, seeing GDP increase by 72% in PPP (sixfold in nominal).

Wow, Putin’s Russia sounds like the United States prior to deregulation of the Wall Street banks and endless wars of aggression.

Putin has cultivated a "he-man" and "super hero" image and is a pop cultural icon in Russia with many commercial products named after him.

And this is the most striking:

He is currently ranked as the world's most powerful person according to Forbes.[16]

I wonder who the number 2 most powerful person in the world is; my guess is Jamie Dimon. And how is the European Union’s economy doing with Central Banks running their governments?

From Press TV:

EU favors bankrupt banks over homeless: Shakespeare

European governments prefer depositing their money into bankrupt banks to financing housing for millions of homeless across the continent, an analyst tells Press TV in an interview.

Shakespeare highlighted “the mal-adjustment of the economy with the rich-poor division” as the main cause of the problem.

“I’m afraid, I don’t see any of the politicians at the moment actually addressing the situation,” he said.
According to The Guardian report, there are over 3.4 million vacant homes only in Spain. France and Italy come next, with each reporting about 2 million of such houses.

There are also some 1.8 million and 700,000 vacant residences across Germany and the UK, respectively.

According to statistics by the European Union, there are currently about 4.1 million homeless people across Europe.

The continent plunged into a financial crisis in early 2008. The worsening debt crisis has forced the EU governments to adopt harsh austerity measures and tough economic reforms.

Yes, the central banks of the world bankrupted the governments of the European Union and to continue their plundering, the governments must adopt “harsh austerity measures”.  Looks like the predators need new feeding grounds.

So what did Ukraine have to gain by ousting their President for rejecting the European Union Model?  Nothing.

The same neoconservative politicians and strategists that drove the country to war against Iraq in 2003, against Libya in 2011 and nearly against Syria in 2013 have been neck-deep in a protracted regime change effort in Ukraine as part of a larger geo-strategic struggle against Russia. The fact that they have worked hand in glove with armed neo-Nazis in Ukraine—with Sen. John McCain and Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland literally joining the protests—speaks volumes about the political nature of the events.

The Maiden protest movement was launched in Kiev in November 2013 when Ukrainian President Yanukovych rejected a European Union economic plan that would have imposed a harsh austerity regime on Ukraine as the price for admission into the economic sphere dominated by German banks.

The U.S. and E.U.-backed street protests, supported most fervently by neoconservative elements inside and outside the Obama administration, began when Yanukovych instead accepted a $15 billion loan from Russia and an economic plan that did not require austerity measures but did include discounted prices for Russian natural gas.

Now, that’s interesting.  The people in Ukraine preferred a central banker to plunder all the wealth and resources over an elected leader that opted for a $15 billion dollar loan from Russia that did not require austerity measures but did include discounted prices for Russian natural gas.  I wonder why the people of Ukraine preferred homelessness, hunger and unemployment enough to go to the streets and removed their elected leader.

The new coup-led government was selected by a rump session of the parliament when many elected members could not show up to vote for fear of physical attack. It is filled with fascist and semi-fascist forces, as well as powerful billionaire oligarchs. The fascist forces promote hatred toward Russians, Jews, Poles and other minorities.

Why would the people of Ukraine want a new government filled with powerful billionaire oligarchs and fascist forces who promote hatred toward Russians, Jews, Poles and other minorities?

The right-wing coup government in Ukraine is trying to integrate the country into an E.U./IMF-sponsored austerity regime that will lead to the deep impoverishment of the Ukrainian working classes. The tremendous resources of Ukraine are seen as a huge prize for the enrichment of the biggest banks and corporations in Western Europe and the United States.

These resources include major deposits of coal, iron ore, manganese, nickel and uranium. It holds the largest sulfur and second-largest mercury reserves in the world, and vast, rich agricultural lands and forests.  In addition, Ukraine has large-scale heavy industry, particularly in the eastern part of the country.

Bingo, Ukraine is see as a “huge prize for the enrichment of the biggest banks and corporations in Western Europe and the United States.  Sounds ripe for the taking.  So Ukraine rejected going down the EU poop chute and now a banking cabal has overthrown their elected government.  What’s a little fascism between friends?

Putin has remained a thorn in the side of the worst U.S. President in the history of the United States.  It’s funny that the new Pope, Pope Francis has embraced Putin as the peacemaker and rejected Nobel Peace Prize Winner Obama as the war monger.  According to the Catholic News Agency, in November 2013 Pope Francis met with Vladimir Putin.

Pope Francis had sent a letter to Putin on Sept. 3, saying that “the leaders of the G20 cannot remain indifferent to the dramatic situation of the beloved Syrian people which has lasted far too long, and even risks bringing greater suffering to a region bitterly tested by strife and needful of peace.”

At the time, a military intervention to Syria seemed unavoidable, and Pope Francis called a day of fasting and prayer on Sept. 5.

Over 115,000 Syrians have been killed and more than two million have fled the country, which has been entangled in a violent civil war for more than two years.

Yep, the Pope saw the only hope to stave off Obama’s bloodthirsty, lust for war in Syria was to reach out to Vladimir Putin.   When Edward Snowden, a hero to millions around the world for exposing an out of control, central banker led US government, was stranded in Russia it was Putin who showed great restraint and a measured response.

After all of Obama’s squealing, threats and kidnapping world leaders on the pretext of Snowden being on their plane, Putin remained the adult.  When asked about the Obama Administrations continued threats, and posturing in trying to capture Snowden, Putin compared dealing with Obama to “shearing a pig”.  There’s lots of squealing and no wool.

So while the Obama Administration cuts nutritional assistance to the poor, veterans benefits for those injured fighting America’s endless wars of aggression, allows America’s infrastructure to be sold off to foreign countries and destroys this once great nation, Putin’s Russia is looking extremely strong.  Putin’s approval rating has been skyrocketing.  Austerity for America, Prosperity for Russia.

Putin the Great?  I don’t know, maybe we should ask the Russian people who, after witnessing an EU/US backed Nazi coup in Ukraine, they voted to stick with Russia.

Obama/Mc Cain Back Unelected Ukraine Government

Is a shadow government ruling America?  There is something about the uprising in Ukraine that is eerily similar to that of Egypt.  In Egypt when Mubarak agreed to new elections, Hillary Clinton tried to defuse the tension and asked for restraint and an orderly transition of government in Egypt, but Obama’s insiders demanded an immediate removal of Mubarak and chaos in Egypt. Obama and McCain backed the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and now are backing neo Nazis in Ukraine. This article from MSNBC is interesting:

US Administration Directly Supports Neo-Nazis in Ukraine

MSNBC: Claims that there are no Neo-Nazis in the Ukraine and the Ukrainian parliament, and that the USA does not support Fascists, have been rebutted at numerous occasions. Last weekend, when the US, French, British, Polish and German – backed “opposition” seized Parliament with masked gunmen and voted 360 – 0 to oust the President, the White House responded by releasing a statement that praised the “constructive work” done by the Ukrainian parliament. Does the USA support Neo-Nazis?

Good question, does the USA support Neo-Nazis?  Does the USA support the Muslim Brotherhood?  Who is making foreign policy in the U.S.?  One thing is clear, Obama and G.W. Bush are a two headed monster.  Back in 2008 when Georgia, after prompting by the Bush Administration, attacked Russia Webster G. Tarpley wrote forRense.com:

WASHINGTON, DC -- Clearly playing the role of the aggressor, the NATO puppet regime of Mikhail Saakashvili has carried out a midnight sneak attack against Russian peacekeepers in the province of South Ossetia. Those peacekeepers have been there for 15 years under an agreement with Georgia. Saakashvili is a protégé and creature of Zbigniew Brzezinski, the foreign policy boss of the Barack Obama presidential campaign. As is explained in my book Obama- The Postmodern Coup: The Making of a Manchurian Candidate, Saakashvili was brought to power in 2003-2004 by a people power coup or CIA color revolution, directed by the Brzezinski clan and financed by George Soros, one of Obama's key financial backers. In a very real sense, it is the Obama campaign which has attacked Russia in South Ossetia.

Responding to this provocation, Russia has struck back powerfully, hurling the Georgian military into full retreat. The 3000% increase in Georgian military spending on US military hardware since 2004 has not had the desired effect. But the Georgians have killed a score of Russian troops and shot down several aircraft. Russia is blockading the Georgian Black Sea coast and has already sunk a Georgian warship. The US regime, the butchers of Iraq, are now whining that the Russian response is "disproportionate," and that regime change is inadmissible! McCain responded by aggressive posturing against Russia scripted by Ian Brzezinski, as expected. At the Olympics, Bush had a heated exchange with Russian Prime Minister Putin over the Georgian aggression. Bush has dropped his plans to attack Iran and North Korea, and is now slavishly following Brzezinski's orders by concentrating on provoking Russian and China.

I may not agree with all of that, but the main point is spot on.  Right after Russia and Ukraine agreed to new elections in Ukraine there was a CIA backed coup of the government of Ukraine.  According to the Russian Times:

Washington’s decision to provide financial aid to the coup-appointed government of Ukraine goes against the US laws, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said, urging American politicians to think about the consequences of supporting the radicals in Kiev.

Ukraine’s ousted president, Viktor Yanukovich, said on Tuesday that the US plans to loan $1 billion to the country’s new authorities are illegal.

“Indeed, in accordance with the amendments introduced to the 1961 law (Foreign Assistance Act) a few years ago the provision of foreign assistance is prohibited to ‘the government of any country whose duly elected head of government is deposed by military coup or decree.’ The relevant provision is contained in22 US Code § 8422,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“Thus, by all criteria the provision of funds to the illegitimate [Kiev] regime, which seized power by force, is unlawful and goes beyond the boundaries of the US legal system,” the statement added.

Can Putin save America from itself?  Putin saved America from an unwise war with Syria and now America is fighting for self-destruction.  America has lost its might because they sold their soul for endless war.  We can’t win a war with Russia because America has invested in wars for Wall Street profit over food and education for its people.  We are a weak country because we have weak leaders promoted by a corrupt two-party system.  As reported in the Voice of Russia::

The overthrow of the government of Ukraine was an armed coup d’état ordered, planned, organized, funded, carried out and executed by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the Pentagon, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and their surrogates in the European Union (EU) using every instrument at their disposal including the National Security Agency (NSA) and all of their amassed media resources. It was carried out with the knowledge and approval of US President Barack Hussein Obama if not at his directive.

The actions of the US in organizing the armed overthrow and installation of an illegitimate puppet government in Kiev was and continues to be illegal and revelations that continue to be exposed, including the latest regarding the hiring of snipers to kill demonstrators and police, are an outrage and a crime against all humanity that must not be allowed to stand.

More and more Russian Americans are expressing fear and revulsion of the newly installed government in Ukraine and their swastika’s and terrorist activities.  The American people want jobs, stability and a banking system that promotes a healthy, vibrant country, not a war torn, empty shell devoid of moral character.

The Obama Administration says Putin is stuck in a cold war mentality, but we are the ones that don’t understand that our multi-billion dollar marine vessels can be destroyed by a $20 dollar rubber rafts.  That is cold war mentality.  The constant beating of war drums as your country is in shambles is a cold war mentality.

So can Putin save America from the cold war mentality of McCain and Obama?  Remains to be seen.

Meet Ukraine’s New Army Blackwater

It seems evangelical billionaire, Erik Prince rebranded his US funded Blackwater mercenary army, Academi and has sold the army to Monsanto.

Academi was created by Erik Prince in 1997, under the name Blackwater Worldwide. The company, of which some managers are linked to Evangelic churches financed by the Pentagon, played a role, in Afghanistan in Iraq, comparable to that which played the Order of Malta, during the Nicaragua War. It is presided by Billy Joe (Red), McCombs (347th US fortune), John Aschcroft (former US Attorney general) and the admiral Bobby R. Inman (former NSA director and deputy director of the CIA). Academi, which works mainly for the US government, participated in the Tripoli battle (Libya) and is currently recruiting combatants to do the Jihad in Syria.

Academi (ex-Blackwater), the world’s most powerful private army, reveals having been signed over, without indicating the name of the buyer, nor the amount for which it was bought.

Get that? Academi, the world’s most powerful private army, paid by the U.S. Pentagon, who participated in the Tripoli battle in Libya which deposed Gagdafi and has been recruiting combatants in Syria to overthrow Assad is now owned by Monsanto.

And, it seems Monsanto has a financial interest in who will be governing Ukraine.  According to a 2013 article in Reuters:

May 24 (Reuters) - Monsanto Co, the world's largest seed company, plans to launch a non-GM (genetically modified) corn seed plant in Ukraine, one of the world's leading producers of the grain, the company said on Friday.

"Monsanto is planning to build a seed plant in Ukraine to produce conventional corn seeds," Vitaliy Fedchuk, corporate affairs specialist at Monsanto Ukraine, told Reuters in an email.

So, a year ago Monsanto announced they were launching a seed plant in Ukraine, one of the largest corn producers in the world, to produce conventional corn seeds.  Given their cash crops are genetically modified Frankenstein seeds, why are they investing $100’s of millions in a conventional corn seed production in Ukraine?

Ukrainian laws bar local farmers from growing genetically modified crops. Asked whether Monsanto expected changes in regulations, Fedchuk said:

"Indeed, in Ukraine only conventional seeds are allowed for production and importation, thus we will be working with conventional seeds only." (Reporting by Olzhas Auyezov; Editing by Michael Roddy)

I bet with the new Evangelical Prime Minister backed by Monsanto’s army those laws won’t be a problem.  Imagine the damage to Russia if their close neighbor started having GM plants blowing pollen all over contaminating Russia’s food supply.

So anyway, Ukraine's elected governent rejected a trade agreement with the European Union and that provoked the Ukranian people to protest and remove an elected Prime Minister.  According to the New York Times:

KIEV, Ukraine — Yuri V. Lutsenko, a onetime field commander of Ukraine’s 2004 Orange Revolution, looked out across the tens of thousands of people who gathered on Sunday to protest the government’s decision to back away from a far-reaching political and trade deal with the European Union…

At stake here is not just the fate of a free-trade pact but whether the hardball tactics of Russia, willing to use every bit of economic muscle — including trade threats and its stranglehold on energy supplies — to exert blunt force in negotiations, will prevail over the national aspirations of millions of people.

The effort to draw in Ukraine and other ex-Soviet republics is also crucial to Europe, which has invested heavily in it and can ill afford a humiliating defeat at a time when its stature is already being called into doubt by the continuing economic strains within the euro zone.

Yes, the deal the elected government of Ukraine rejected was a humiliating defeat for the US and EU.
 Who is Monsanto?

Monsanto was created in 1901 and produced saccharine used by Coca-Cola.  Sacchaine was banned in the U.S. in 1981 due to being a carcinogen.

Banned in 1981, saccharin has long been considered carcinogenic because it produced bladder tumours in rats. Saccharin is now unbanned, with more than 100 countries worldwide legitimately allowing saccharin as a food sweetening additive1, a situation that warrants further comment.

Isn’t that odd?  A known carcinogen manufactured by Monsanto is now unbanned in more than 100 countries worldwide.

Monsanto also supplied uranium for the Manhattan project and agent orange, the carcinogen used to defoliate the jungles of Vietnam.

What’s interesting, and I’m not sure if there’s a connection between Monsanto’s take over of Ukraine, is a lawsuit brought by injured veterans against companies that contaminated and poisoned military personnel and their families.

From the 1950’s through the 1980’s military service personnel serving at Camp Lejeune were exposed to toxic chemicals.  From the U.S. Department ofVeterans Affairs:

Camp Lejeune: Past Water Contamination

From the 1950s through the 1980s, people living or working at the U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, were potentially exposed to drinking water contaminated with industrial solvents, benzene, and other chemicals.

Veterans and family members who served on active duty or resided at Camp Lejeune for 30 days or more between Jan. 1, 1957 and Dec. 31, 1987 may be eligible for medical care for 15 health conditions.

Seems our veterans and their families are dying from rare cancers caused by chemical exposure.  The lawsuit is  currently winding its way through court.

Veterans injured by the drinking water at Camp Lejeune should know this information

Camp Lejeune is a U.S. Marine Corps base in North Carolina, and has been a crucial component of USMC training activities since 1942.  The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) has concluded that from (at least) November 1957 to February 1987, soldiers and their milies living on-base at Camp Lejeune were exposed to contaminated drinking water.

Soldiers – and their families – that were stationed at Camp Lejeune are finding that they are getting sick at rates far higher than any national rates in the general population.

What Happened at Camp Lejeune?

The water at Lejeune is known to have toxic concentrations in excess of 240 – 3400 times what the government considers a safe level.  The following chemicals are known to have been used at Lejeune, with more and more discovered each year (the list now totals over 70 known toxins in the drinking water at Lejeune):

Tricholorethylene (TCE)
Perchloroethylene (PCE)
Benzene
Vinyl Chloride

The health impacts of this are staggering:  a statistically significant number of men stationed at Lejeune have developed breast cancer at rates that far outpace the national rate of breast cancer in men.  Birth defects in children have also resulted, including myoletic leukemia, non-Hodgkins lymphoma, and other forms of cancer rare to children.

But there’s another lawsuit that is before the U.S. Supreme Court that, if found in favor of the Corporation against the people, will nullify the Camp Lejuene veterans’ case.  In an article in USA Today by Richard Wolf entitled “Government Straddles Both Sides in Toxic Water Cases”

WASHINGTON — President Obama signed a law in 2012 offering health benefits to thousands of former Marines and their families who were exposed decades ago to contaminated water at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.

But in a related case headed to the Supreme Court in April that could bolster or block their claims for damages, Obama's Justice Department has argued that the clock has run out.
The little-noticed case could have profound implications for victims of hidden contamination at Camp Lejeune and other former industrial sites in states that set deadlines on damage claims.

Those lawsuits generally involve "enormous financial stakes — typically in the millions of dollars," according to a petition filed by the electronics manufacturer at the center of the high court case.

Yes, the lawsuits involve “enormous financial stakes for companies like Monsanto, but the Obama Administration has their backs.

The fact that some plaintiffs will be unaware of their claims until after the statute of repose expires is an inherent feature of statutes of repose," the government argued. Exposing polluters to greater liability could discourage voluntary disclosure and cleanup, it said, as well as pose a burden to industry.

The appeals court wasn't convinced. It sided with the 23 landowners seeking damages and remediation because their land had been contaminated with toxic chemicals from 1959 to 1985, when CTS Corp. ran an electronics manufacturing plant in Asheville. It wasn't until 2009 that landowners learned their water could cause liver and kidney damage, heart ailments and cancer.

Seems to me the argument that “exposing polluters to greater liability could discourage disclosure and cleanup” is a really lame argument good thing the court of appeals disagreed.  But now, the case is scheduled before the United States Supreme Court.

You know, it is starting to look like Putin is looking out for the best interests of Russia and that’s what a leader is supposed to do.  So let Putin handle his part of the world and let the people of other countries determine their own destiny without US backed, private armies like Blackwater deciding for them.
