December 12, 2000 America’s Love Light Murdered: World Terrorized by RAND Corporation’s Fascist Militarized Police

Much was at stake for the 2000 Presidential Election in America.  Unemployment was low, seniors were financially secure, crime was low and more Americans participated in the Stock Market through employer sponsored 401K retirement plans than ever before.

But all that changed December 12, 2000 when America’s love light was murdered by 5 corrupt Republican Supreme Court justices.   And, with that came the RAND Corporation’s fascist empire of global militarized police.

From a 2010 article in Info Wars:

RAND/Army Report Calls For Militarized Police Force For U.S.
Authors admit Federal "Stabilization Force" could be used domestically

A recent study commissioned by the U.S. Army and written by the RAND Corporation calls for the creation of a "hybrid" military/law enforcement unit which could be put to use in the United States to take charge of riot control and SWAT duties, according to the authors….

"It's important to point out that the goal was to create a force that's deployable overseas. If it's to be used in the United States it would be a secondary thing and then only in an emergency."

Kelly said that the main focus of the force would be in places like Iraq, Afghanistan or Haiti, in light of the earthquake disaster, adding that it could operate as a U.S. force under U.N. authority.

However, the report itself uses language that leaves open the exact agenda of the force, and makes it clear that domestic use has been considered at length….

Yes, that’s the same RAND Corporation that has called for internment camps and mass executions in Ukraine for any citizen who opposes the puppet government installed by America’s State Department   undersecretary Victoria Nuland along with Vice President Joe Biden.

It is clear then that part of the vision is to employ a Federal military police force inside the United States.

The report is even titled A Stability Police Force for the United States: Justification and Creating U.S. Capabilities….

"As I see it, the goal is to do the bidding of the international cartel of central bankers and financiers in order to assist them in building a world government police state which would entail total surveillance, total control, and the absence of what we think of as constitutional rights," Castle said.

The RAND Corporation is a notoriously powerful NGO with deep ties to the U.S. military-industrial complex as well as interlocking connections with the Ford, Rockefeller, and Carnegie foundations.

December 12, 2000, 5 RAND Corporation devotees placed on the Supreme Court by Republican presidents with the “consent” of the U.S. Senate took the life of liberty and chopped its head off.  Justice in America was dead.

Public dissent was now illegal unless you were in a free speech cage in a zone out of the view of the American people and the press.  The George W. Bush Administration rammed through trillion dollar tax cuts for the rich and the gears were set in motion for ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council) to defund all public services especially protective services.  The results have been devastating not only for everyday Americans but citizens across the world.

Early on in the GW Bush Administration, background checks for gun purchases were on the chopping block, retention of records on gun purchases was prohibited, and assault weapons were available for sale.  Along with massive amounts of guns flowing freely and easily in America, the ALEC stand your ground laws made America a giant, unaccountable shooting gallery.

Now that ALEC had diminished the financial capacity of state and local governments to provide adequate safety from the armed, militarized criminals with assault weapons roaming the streets of America, we needed a “hybrid” militarized police force to deal with the nightmare they created.

From the ACLU:  War Comes Home: The Excessive Militarization of American Policing.

Excerpt:

All across the country, heavily armed SWAT teams are raiding people’s homes in the middle of the night, often just to search for drugs. It should enrage us that people have needlessly died during these raids, that pets have been shot, and that homes have been ravaged.

Our neighborhoods are not warzones, and police officers should not be treating us like wartime enemies. And yet, every year, billions of dollars’ worth of military equipment flows from the federal government to state and local police departments. Departments use these wartime weapons in everyday policing, especially to fight the wasteful and failed drug war, which has unfairly targeted people of color.

As our new report makes clear, it’s time for American police to remember that they are supposed to protect and serve our communities, not wage war on the people who live in them.

Baby burned by flash grenade in NC police raid

Yes, sickening isn’t it?  Stolen elections have deadly consequences for the world, from global warming to our children being mowed down in schools by militarily armed mentally ill people who can’t get medical care thanks to a for-profit medical insurance industry that was created on December 15, 2000.

According to Global Research, more citizens have been killed by police than died in the Iraq War. This article is a reprint from 2013.

Increasing Police Brutality: Americans Killed by Cops Now Outnumber Americans Killed in Iraq War

The increase in police brutality in this country is a frightening reality. In the last decade alone the number of people murdered by police has reached 5,000. The number of soldiers killed since the inception of the Iraq war, 4,489.

What went wrong? In the 1970’s SWAT teams were estimated to be used just a few hundred times per year, now we are looking at over 40,000 military style “knock and announce” police raids a year.

Sounds like they learned that “knock and announce” policy from kicking in doors of homes in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The police presence in this country is being turned into a military with a clearly defined enemy, anyone who questions the establishment.

If we look at the most recent numbers of non-military US citizens killed by terrorism worldwide, that number is 17. You have a better chance of being killed by a bee sting, or a home repair accident than you do a terrorist. And you are 29 times more likely to be murdered by a cop than a terrorist!

In 1994 the US Government passed a law authorizing the Pentagon to donate surplus Cold War era military equipment to local police departments.

Yes, the peace dividend we experience under President Clinton that allowed the Pentagon to donate surplus Cold War era military equipment to local police departments probably made sense in 1994.  I’m sure the equipment in 1994 was nothing like the Pentagon “surplus” equipment in a war based economy.

In the 20 years since, weaponry designed for use on a foreign battlefield, has been handed over for use on American streets…against American citizens.

The “War on Drugs” and the “War on Terror” replaced the Cold War with billions in funding and dozens of laws geared towards this new “war” against its own citizens.

This militarization of the police force has created what is being called an “epidemic of police brutality” sweeping the nation.

Where’s Congressman Darrell Issa R-California (personal wealth over $300 million) and his Benghazi vigilantes when you need them?  According to RollCall:

Excerpt:

With images of heavily armed police confronting protesters in Ferguson, Mo., sparking a national debate about police militarization, a campaign finance research organization has released a study showing how much defense industry money House members got before a June 19 vote that rejected Rep.  Alan Grayson’s amendment to block military equipment transfers to local law enforcement. The organization, MapLight, found that those who voted against it got 73 percent more in defense industry donations than those who voted in favor….

“Thus, it appears that DLA [DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY] can simply purchase property from an equipment or weapons manufacturer and transfer it to a local law enforcement agency free of charge,” the ACLU report states. “Given that more than a third of property transferred under the program is in fact new, it appears that this practice happens with some regularity.”

“Congress established this program out of real concern that local law enforcement agencies were literally outgunned by drug criminals,” Levin said in a news release Friday. “We intended this equipment to keep police officers and their communities safe from heavily armed drug gangs and terrorist incidents.

Hummm, who is this Defense Logistics Agency that has the authority to purchase deadly equipment from the military industrial complex, then transfer the military equipment to local law enforcement with no oversight?

DLA at a Glance

As America’s combat logistics support agency, the Defense Logistics Agency provides the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, other federal agencies, and combined and allied forces with the full spectrum of logistics, acquisition and technical services.

The Agency sources and provides nearly 100 percent of the consumable items America’s military forces need to operate, from food, fuel and energy, to uniforms, medical supplies, and construction and barrier equipment. DLA also supplies more than 85 percent of the military’s spare parts….

As a global enterprise, wherever the United States has a military presence, DLA is likely there as well.

Yep, wherever the U.S. military has a presence DLA has their snout in the trough.  Congress justifies cuts to retirement benefits, medical care and everything vital to the survival of our military families, through sequestration because “America’s broke.”  Bullshit, America’s been robbed.  So how much money has the DLA made off American taxpayers?

In simple terms, in fiscal 2013 DLA provided $39 billion in sales and revenue. This along with the dollar value of services provided would rank the agency in the top 15th percentile of the Fortune 500.

Yes, literally making a killing off the American taxpayers and troops.  Sounds like the DLA has America’s military by the short hairs.  This militarization of the American police force isn’t “surplus” military equipment, it’s brand new equipment.

So why isn’t congress outraged that the DLA is ordering new military equipment from the Industrial Military Complex to send to the States to tamp down popular resistance to the tune of $39 billion?  And $39 billion is just the baseline.

The most important reason lawmakers might have voted against Grayson’s amendment, however, and they did so in droves (355 said no; 62 said yes — once it finally came to a vote after a failed bid), is that they tend to back anything that sends free federal equipment to cash-strapped locals

That made the Department of Homeland Security’s grant programs for first responders to buy equipment to respond to terrorist attacks so popular for so long, even amid questions about wasteful spending.

And, why are the state and local governments cash strapped?  Trillion dollar tax cuts for billion dollar public/private entities like the DLA.  Sweet gig.  So Homeland Security has the DLA’s back with a steady stream of military industrial complex profits.

So now that the DLA has pumped billions of useless but lethal crap equipment into states to terrorize their citizens with hybrid RAND Corporation “Security Police Forces”, how’s that working out for every day American citizens?  Not so well.

Seems the new “RAND’s hybrid Security Police” have found a new revenue stream:  Asset forfeiture.  From Institute for Justice:

Policing for Profit: The Abuse of Civil Asset Forfeiture

Civil forfeiture laws represent one of the most serious assaults on private property rights in the nation today.  Under civil forfeiture, police and prosecutors can seize your car or other property, sell it and use the proceeds to fund agency budgets—all without so much as charging you with a crime.

Unlike criminal forfeiture, where property is taken after its owner has been found guilty in a court of law, with civil forfeiture, owners need not be charged with or convicted of a crime to lose homes, cars, cash or other property.

Americans are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, but civil forfeiture turns that principle on its head.  With civil forfeiture, your property is guilty until you prove it innocent.

That's right, your property is guilty.  Civil forfeiture is what happens when billionaires get  trillions in tax cuts; RAND Corporation’s militarized police force needs to be funded by stealing from innocent citizens.  From Washington Post

Excerpt:

Police agencies have used hundreds of millions of dollars taken from Americans under federal civil forfeiture law in recent years to buy guns, armored cars and electronic surveillance gear. They have also spent money on luxury vehicles, travel and a clown named Sparkles.

ABOVE: In Douglasville, Ga, population 32,000, an armored personnel carrier costing $227,000 was bought using money taken from Americans under civil forfeiture laws.

The details are contained in thousands of annual reports submitted by local and state agencies to the Justice Department’s Equitable Sharing Program, an initiative that allows local and state police to keep up to 80 percent of the assets they seize. The Washington Post obtained 43,000 of the reports dating from 2008 through a Freedom of Information Act request….

Of the nearly $2.5 billion in spending reported in the forms, 81 percent came from cash and property seizures in which no indictment was filed, according to an analysis by The Post. Owners must prove that their money or property was acquired legally in order to get it back.

You know all of this graft and corruption is due to the war on drugs.  Today there is an excessive amount of unnecessary Heroine deaths.  Recently police have decided to carry the antidote drugs for Heroin overdose victims.  Sounds good, doesn’t it?  Well to the drug companies, it sounds like “caching.”  From the New York Times:

Excerpt:

As police look to stop Heroine deaths, drug companies see excessive profits.

This year, police departments across the country, including in New York City, announced plans to stock up on a medication that reverses the effects of a heroin or opioid painkiller overdose.

The move signaled a shifting approach for officers more accustomed to fighting drug abuse with arrests than with a medical antidote.

But police and public health officials from New York to San Francisco are facing sticker shock: Prices for a popular form of the medication, naloxone, are spiking, in some cases by 50 percent or more….

Sounds like there’s going to have to be a lot more civil asset forfeitures to fund drug company profits.  Pay up or die, that’s the American dream after December 12, 2000.  And if you think there will be redress for you in American courts, think again. From National Journal:

When Judges Go Courting

Cheri Beasley wants me to drive. This, on its own, wouldn't seem extraordinary except when you consider that Beasley is a justice on the North Carolina Supreme Court, and I'm someone she met an hour ago. It's a 75-mile trip from Raleigh to Greensboro for a candidates forum, and she doesn't have a driver—or any staffer along for that matter. It's just her and me….

In 2008, when she ran for an Appellate Court seat and won, Beasley became the first African-American woman elected to a statewide office who hadn't first been appointed to that office by the governor. Beasley is running for office again, this time trying to hold on to her Supreme Court seat (which she did secure by appointment, two years ago).

But everything is different, and everything is harder. She's facing a stiff challenge from Mike Robinson, a bow-tie-sporting Winston-Salem lawyer with a background representing companies in civil lawsuits. Robinson is supported by the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce and other business groups, and he self-identifies as a "judicial conservative…..."

Still, it's a telling four minutes. Beasley uses her moment at the lectern to deflect a question about whether she's a judicial activist. Robinson is less circumspect. He declares himself a "strict constructionist," talks up "judicial restraint," and directs the audience's attention to a dissenting opinion that Beasley wrote in 2013 that, he implies, is antibusiness. (In the decision, the Supreme Court limited the reach of a consumer-protection law.)

After the event, Beasley is surprised that Robinson brought up the dissent; he's never done that before, she says. She believes Robinson was speaking in code, that he was winking to the corporate crowd, suggesting that he would safeguard its interests if elected to the court.

"So much," she says, "for judicial independence."

Here in Wisconsin we know firsthand how State Supreme Court justices are funded by the Chamber of Commerce and if their candidate loses, they steal the seat.  That was the case in the reelection of the Chamber’s favorite justice in Wisconsin, Judge Prosser AKA the choking judge.  From Fire Dog Lake:

Excerpt:

An unconfirmed report in National Review claims that a “computer error” in Waukesha County will net Prosser some 7,000 votes, putting him in the lead and outside of recount territory. One Wisconsin Now, a progressive group in the state, has heavily criticized Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus for her past practices and the heavy secrecy surrounding this election.

Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus, a former staffer for the Assembly Republican Caucus, has been sharply criticized in recent months for her handling of recent elections. Even the archly-conservative Waukesha County Board has sharply condemned Nickolaus after past elections, demanding an immediate audit of her practices following ominous red-flags that emerged regarding her lack of oversight, failure to create backup files and her stubborn insistence to “keep everything secret.” [Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 8/18/10; 1/17/11]

The County auditors said it was eminently possible — including historical precedent — for Nickolaus or a rogue employee to tamper with data. Why? Nickolaus insists on controlling password access and has unilaterally decided to move sensitive files, like election results, onto her personal computer [...]

On Tuesday, shockingly-large turnout suddenly emerged from Waukesha County, which did not comport with either the results of previous spring elections, or even internal estimates from city officials mid-day. In fact, a Waukesha City Deputy Clerk said at 1:18pm that turnout was very typical, predicting somewhere between 20 to 25 percent.

As Tuesday night wore on, reporting in Waukesha County stopped altogether for hours, leaving observers to wonder what was going on. Then suddenly, results suggesting massive turnout started to pour in rapidly with Prosser adding dramatically to his total by a 73-27 percent margin.

Oh, my.  Wisconsin is totally screwed.  Oh, and that female judge that Prosser was choking, the Koch Brothers are waging a campaign to replace her.  From Journal Sentinel

Rock County judge to challenge Ann Walsh Bradley for Supreme Court
By Patrick Marley of the Journal Sentinel Updated: 2:46 p.m.

Madison — With the state focused on next week's election for governor, a Rock County judge announced Monday he was running against state Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley next year…

Bradley, 64, filed paperwork in September to seek a third, 10-year term on the court in the April 7, 2015, election…..

The state's high court in recent years has been riven by personal and philosophical differences. In the clash that has drawn the most attention, Justice David Prosser put his hands on the neck of Bradley in 2011 as the two argued in front of four other justices about a case over Gov. Scott Walker's limits on collective bargaining for most public workers.

Prosser has said Bradley charged at him and his hands touched her neck when he put them up in a defensive gesture. Bradley has denied that characterization, saying Prosser was the aggressor.

Prosser faced ethics charges over the incident, but that case has stalled because Prosser, Bradley and three other justices have declined to participate in the matter. Normally, at least four of the court's seven justices are needed to take any action on a case.

Well, Judge Prosser is the epitome of the “new” justice system in America brought to you by the Supreme Court decision December 12, 2000.   Another injustice brought to you by the 2000 Supreme Court coup in America, the FISA Court (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court).

If you will recall, Justice John Roberts was supposed to fill the seat left vacant by Sandra Day O’Connor, but that royal asshole Chief Justice William Rehnquist died and Roberts was made Chief Justice.  And guess what, the Chief Justice appoints the members of the FISA Court.  From New York Times:

Excerpt:

Roberts’s Picks Reshaping Secret Surveillance Court
WASHINGTON — The recent leaks about government spying programs have focused attention on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court and its role in deciding how intrusive the  government can be in the name of national security. Less mentioned has been the person who has been quietly reshaping the secret court: Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr.

Ten of the court’s 11 judges — all assigned by Chief Justice Roberts — were appointed to the bench by Republican presidents; six once worked for the federal government. Since the chief justice began making assignments in 2005, 86 percent of his choices have been Republican appointees, and 50 percent have been former executive branch officials.

Though the two previous chief justices, Warren E. Burger and William H. Rehnquist, were conservatives like Chief Justice Roberts, their assignments to the surveillance court were more ideologically diverse, according to an analysis by The New York Times of a list of every judge who has served on the court since it was established in 1978.

According to the analysis, 66 percent of their selections were Republican appointees, and 39 percent once worked for the executive branch.

The Roberts Court doesn’t bode well for the world.  Just look at the U.K. our “close” ally.  The U.K. profited from Netanyahu’s killing of Palestinians.  From Russia Times:

Business as usual: UK arms factories 'profit' from Palestinian bloodshed

Against a backdrop of widespread bloodshed and devastation in Gaza, a mounting body of evidence indicates military equipment used by Israel during Operation Protective Edge was made in the UK…

Britain’s arms trade relations with Israel are extremely lucrative. Since 2010, British authorities have presided over the sale of £42 million worth of military produce to the Middle Eastern state. On an annual basis, the British government grants up to £15 million worth of licenses to UK defense firms for the export of military equipment to Israel. These figures stem from in-depth research conducted by the Campaign Against the Arms Trade (CAAT), a London-based NGO dedicated to tackling the global arms industry’s impact on human rights….

Raytheon

Israeli bombs responsible for bloodshed in Gaza are comprised of laser-guidance systems manufactured in Scotland, the Daily Record revealed last week. This laser-guidance technology is produced in a factory in Fife, the parent company of which is a US-headquartered arms manufacturer called Raytheon.

Israeli bombs responsible for devastation and bloodshed in Gaza

Raytheon have reportedly claimed in the past they “take a dumb bomb and make it into a smart bomb.” But this “smart” technology harbors the capacity to unleash profound destruction. One of the firm’s laser-guided Paveway II bombs was photographed in late July as it descended onto a Gazan neighborhood, reaping devastation upon its impact.

Wow, all those profits from killing Palestinians must pay for a state-of-art police force, no?  Well, I guess no.  From The Guardian:

Police budget cuts: unpaid volunteers now used in key roles

Police forces are quietly taking on unpaid volunteers as scene of crime investigators, forensic experts and emergency planning officers as 20% budget cuts bite, it can be revealed.

Forces across the country have been taking on volunteers to fill some of the most sensitive police staff roles and some are seeking to escalate their recruitment drives. There are now 9,000 police support volunteers replacing 15,000 staff jobs lost since 2010. Some forces report plans to double or triple their voluntary staff in the next year.

Sound familiar America?  Sounds like a job for RAND’s hybrid police force.  I'm sure that smarmy asshole Cameron is going to have to raise taxes to provide for a police force.  (I’m sorry, I just can’t stand that guy).  From BBC:

Excerpt:

David Cameron pledges tax cuts 'for 30m people'

In a speech which ended his party's conference, the PM said he would raise the tax-free allowance from £10,500 to £12,500 by 2020.

He also said the threshold for the 40p income tax rate would be raised from £41,900 to £50,000 by the end of a five-year Conservative government.

The changes would back people who "do the right thing", he said.

Both tax reform proposals - the timing of which the party said depends on economic circumstances - received lengthy ovations.

They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but in Cameron’s case you can’t teach a mangy cur not to eat its masters.   So the United Nations has called for an investigation into global police brutality.  I say, start with the RAND Corporation’s hybrid global police force and maybe it’s time to bring in the International Criminal Court, that is if it hasn’t been filled with ALEC lunatics like the U.S.

December 12, 2000 America’s love light was murdered by 5 corrupt Republican Supreme Court justices and replaced with RAND Corporation’s fascist empire of global militarized police.

May God have mercy on the world.
