Neocons and Zionists beat the drums for war on Syria ,
while calling for cuts in Social Security and Medicare to pay for it. Yes, folks the circus is in town. All the same clowns that populated the
airwaves to beat the drums for war against Iraq
are now unapologetically beating the drums for war against Syria .
This is nothing new; we’ve seen it all before. Their favorite venue is C-Span and Fox
News. While C-Span boasts that they are
non-partisan because they receive no funding from the United States Government,
they brag that they receive their funding from the cable companies. The cable companies donate a small percentage
of their profits to air C-Span as a bastion of non-partisanship.
What a joke. C-Span
hosts 24 hours 7 days a week of the Heritage Foundation, The American
Enterprise Institute, Cato Institute, Counsel on Foreign Relations, AIPAC,
etc.
Since Obama’s call to bomb Syria ,
C-Span has had guests Danielle Pletka, American Enterprise Institute who also
on C-Span called for the attack on Iraq ,
Larry Kudlow and a host of pro-war neocons on.
Fox is hosting Bill Kristol, Charles Krauthammer and the usual
suspects.
The Project for a New American Century’s members are front
and center in the clamor for war against Syria . These self-proclaimed experts have sent an
open letter to Bush alter ego, Barack Obama and old Zionist Joe Biden calling
for military intervention in Syria . But they don’t want a couple of missiles
lobbed over to teach a lesson, they want all out war and removal of Bashir
Assad. This from their letter:
"Moreover, the United
States and other willing nations
should consider direct military strikes against the pillars of the Assad
regime. The objectives should be not only to ensure that Assad’s chemical
weapons no longer threaten America ,
our allies in the region or the Syrian people, but also to deter or destroy the
Assad regime’s airpower and other conventional military means of committing
atrocities against civilian non-combatants. At the same time, the United
States should accelerate efforts to vet, train, and arm moderate elements of
Syria’s armed opposition, with the goal of empowering them to prevail against
both the Assad regime and the growing presence of Al Qaeda-affiliated and other
extremist rebel factions in the country."
The signatories on the letter addressed to
President Obama include Senator Joe Lieberman, Bernard-Henri Levy, Karl
Rove, Bill Kristol, Elliott Abrams, Leon Wieseltier, and many others.
Right now, 66 experts have signed the letter.
Ah, yes. The same
ass-holes that beat the drums for war against Saddam Hussein. The same Project for a New American Century
Ass-holes that wrote the manifesto “The Clean Break Strategy”.
So, who do we have here?
Bill Kristol, Editor of the
Weekly Standard, son of Irving Kristol, one of the architects of the “new world
order”. Kristol is a regular on Fox
News’ “expert” panel and frequent guest on C-Span. Charles Krauthammer,
columnist, the Washington Post, also a regular on Fox News and C-Span. Reule
Marc Gerecht, senior Fellow,
Foundation for Defense of Democracies, Danielle Pletka,
vice president, the American Enterprise Institute and recent guest on C-Span to
promote war with Syria, and Max Boot, senior fellow for
national security studies, Council on Foreign Relations to name
a few.
A recent guest on C-Span was Libertarian, Nick Gillespie of
Reason Magazine, who later wrote this:
I was on C-Span's Washington Journal yesterday, talking about Syria and related issues from a libertarian perspective.
“Let’s be blunt,”
Gillespie said. “[Kristol] has essentially zero wins in his column. When I
think of the foreign policy mastery that comes out of the Weekly Standard, which was an
instrumental mouthpiece for the Bush administration, and before that they were
calling for intervention throughout the Balkans—In their short existence, they
have never met a war they didn’t like.”
“For all of his
plaudits, he has no credibility on foreign policy,” Gillespie continued. “Every
decision that he has pushed and urged on America—including before 9/11, to
start getting really antagonistic militarily with China—has been wrong. It’s
about time that we stop paying that much attention to a kind of perspective on
military action that coming out of the Weekly Standard.”
Gillespie also
dismissed Krauthammer’s criticism of Obama’s alleged inaction. “I’m not sure what Charles Krauthammer can
point to, to say, ‘Look, I said we should go into Iraq , and that’s a great thing, and we should go into Afghanistan , and that’s a great thing,” Gillespie said.
“Pundits, every once in a while, should be
held accountable for their past recommendations, and these guys have a track
record that is god-awful.”
Yes, these people have a track record that is
god-awful. The world is sick of the
cowboy diplomacy of Bush/Obama/Cheney/Biden/Kerry/Rice and the rest of the
Neocons and Zionists. Send in the
Clowns.
